    Super Sober Sunday 14th March 2021

    I'd like to see a big SUPER SOBER SUNDAY SHOUTY OUTY from members who have been here a while, those just starting out again or those just starting out for the very first time.........don't forget to shout LOUD AND PROUD..

    Don't be shy and give it a try...........remember each and everyone one of us here started with a day one!!

    SHOUT IT LOUD AND SHOUT IT PROUD. STAY STRONG AND KEEP THINKING POSITIVE ONE AND ALL. LET'S GIVE OUR BEST TOGETHER

        2252, or 6 years, 2 months, and 1 day of living life without booze...
        Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
        Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
        Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

          Thanks to my sobriety, now stronger and better able to handle the changes coming in my life.
          Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.

                Its been 5 years, 7 months and 24 days since I decided enough is enough. Didnt seem possible back then that I could ever write that, and yet here I am. Here we all are. :applause2:

                  2822 days from my start date to today without alcohol in my life. Was tricky at first - not hugely tough - once I got my head in the right place.
                  I did this by coming here day in day out & soaking up all the information of lives being lived without alcohol.
                  I had, not glitches, but a few planned returns to drinking ( holiday / wedding) but nothing had changed so I decided an alcohol-free life was what I really wanted.
                  So 7 years, 8 months, 20 days ago I decided I was ready & took the plunge for my last day one.

                  Anyone reading - pick your day 1 when you are ready - and go for it. If you need it get additional outside support. Books, AA, - throw everything at it.
                  It is SO worth it.
