Super Sober Sunday Shout Out July 15, 2022

Looks like I’ll be doing the duties again this week and I’m pleased to be able to help JackieClaire out!

I'd like to see a big SUPER SHOUTY OUTY SUNDAY from members who have been here a while, those just starting out again or those just starting out for the very first time.........don't forget to shout LOUD AND PROUD.....

Don't be shy and give it a try...........remember each and everyone one of us here started with a day one!!!!

SHOUT IT LOUD AND SHOUT IT PROUD. STAY STRONG AND KEEP THINKING POSITIVE ONE AND ALL. LET'S GIVE OUR BEST TOGETHER

By using the time and date app........ you'll know whether you've a roundy number or not a roundy number..........Date Duration Calculator: Days Between Dates

For me (Sunday) it is 2406 days from the start date to the end date, or 6 years, 7 months, and 2 days including the end date.

Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

I haven't done this for a while. I wasn't sure I wanted to count days & years for the rest of my life. I have no idea what date I quit cigarettes - I'm just a non-smoker.
It just seems to me that one counts something to get an end figure and then that's it ?
If this is forever why count ?
Just sayin' ....... DISCUSS !

But :egad: ......

OMG I can hardly believe this is me ...... 8 years, 1 month & 23 days sober - no end date in sight inkele:

Its 4422 days from the start date to the end date, but not including the end date or 12 years, 1 month, 8 days excluding the end date.

Way back when I made my first post on here when I was 12 days (yes days) and in those early difficult days I used to hang on by the skin of my teeth so I could post another seven days. Then it was months, then it was months and then it was years.

I don't look down my nose at members who may a few days and I know how quickly we can drop back into the cesspool...........its just a wee reminder that every single one of us here that it can be done.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Lots of people don't count their days and I never used to until the Daily Roll Call thread looked like it was going to die out so I post there every day now in the hopes of keeping it alive. As for this thread, I enjoy reading everyone's commitment to staying alcohol free, no matter how many days they have. For me personally, it's more of a monthly thing, a day in the month to remind myself that quitting drinking was the best decision I ever made for myself.
