Super Sober Shout Out January 9, 2022

I'd like to see a big SUPER SHOUTY OUTY SUNDAY from members who have been here a while, those starting out again or those just starting out for the very first time.........don't forget to shout LOUD AND PROUD!

Don't be shy and give it a try, remember each and every one of us here started with a day one!!!!

SHOUT IT LOUD AND SHOUT IT PROUD. STAY STRONG AND KEEP THINKING POSITIVE ONE AND ALL. LET'S GIVE OUR BEST TOGETHER

By using the time and date app........ you'll know whether you've a roundy number or not a roundy number..........Date Duration Calculator: Days Between Dates

For me (Sunday) it is 2553 days from the start date to the end date, or 6 years, 11 months, and 27 days including the end date.
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

                Pour moi :
8 years, 6 months, 17 days including today.
Still pinch myself when I really think about it and how long that is ....
                :egad:

I didn't even sign up for full sobriety ye know?
Nope that was too scary - I wanted to just quit the drinking during the week at home.
Just drink when I go out.
Who was I kidding ? When I was out there wasn't enough to satisfy me. So I'd always make sure there was something at home.
Then I stayed at home more & more.

But reading & reading & reading on MWO I was ready to quit completely as I realised there was no other way for me.

If you are new here & reading please stick with it - you will soon settle in somewhere and it'll be the best decision of your life.

                  Hi, All:

Shouting out 2960 days or 8 years 1 month and 7 days.

Way to go, Satz. Originally I wasn't going for full stop either, although I think I told everyone here I was. Yes, to the newbies, stick with it!

Thank you for sharing this. I think if folks lurking would read this it would resonate with them. They may take the forward action to join MWO. My belief is we all thought we could somehow manage through the alcohol issue even though we were looking anywhere and everywhere for a quick fix solution!
