Music to exercise to
I FINALLY got out there and started walking. DAMMIT, I'm going to keep it up! I burned a cd just for this purpose and it makes it sooo much more enjoyable. I wanted to post one of the songs I walk to, and who knows I might do it more often if it helps anyone else!!

I have a bunch of songs on my Nano for walking
that I've created multiple playlist from so I can change it up from time to time.
These are the songs that I use for warming up or cooling down...slower (102-112 bpm )
We Can Work It Out 2:16 The Beatles
On My Own 3:22 Al Di Meola
The Road 3:40 Everything But The Girl
I Can't Go For That (No Can Do) 3:45 Hall & Oates
I'm Loving You 4:03 Richard Elliot
Down To The Keys 4:22 Richard Elliot
Make It Last 5:20 Dotsero
Pacific Balcony ( 5:48 Dotsero
These are the faster songs...not too fast , but a comfortable 3mile/hr rate ( 115- 125 bpm)
Carrie-Anne 2:59 The Hollies 119
On A Carousel 3:10 The Hollies 122
Get Back 3:15 The Beatles
Black Magic Woman 3:16 Santana
Revolution 3:25 The Beatles
Long Dark Road 3:26 The Hollies
Shotgun 3:28 Richard Elliot
Private Eyes 3:28 Hall & Oates
Take To The Skies 3:35 Richard Elliot
My Baby Don't Love Me 3:42 Everything But The Girl
Kiss On My List 3:55 Hall & Oates
Get Back Together 3:57 Everything But The Girl
Boardwalk Walk 4:03 Richard Elliot
Running With the Night 4:09 Lionel Richie
Me and Bobby D 4:10 Everything But The Girl
Into the Groove 4:10 Madonna
How Will I Know 4:33 Whitney Houston
Billie Jean (Single Version) 4:54 Michael Jackson
Imagining America 4:59 Everything But The Girl
Someone For Me 5:02 Whitney Houston 120
Thinking About You 5:26 Whitney Houston
Better Late Than Never 5:29
Private Thompson 5:37 Dotsero
Mission MacGyver 5:38 Dotsero 120
Lighthouse In The Rockies 6:01 Dotsero
My playlists usually have 7-9 songs so I can walk 30-40 min...which equals 1.5 miles for 30 min walk or 2 miles for 40 min walk. I read an article that people that exercise to music are more likely to stay with it...it's certainly been true for me I started walking with my Nano 2-3 years ago!

I'm a 1970s tragic, I love the music from that era, though I was very young at that time - some great beats and just a lot of fun. I can't think of too many around right now but I like Pink, she's cool and I'd like to go to one of her shows when I get a better grip and think I can go without having alcohol.
