      I AM YOUR DISEASE

Its scary because its so flipping true. Any alcoholic can look at that and see their drinking years in those lines. It would put your hair standing on your head. Heres another which is sort of similar. https://www.mywayout.org/community/f1...oem-47765.html
I am a sobriety tart. AA/Smart/RR philosophy, meds/diet/exercise/prayer,rabbbits feet/four leaf clovers/horseshoes. Yes please.I will have them all thank you very much.Bring them on

There is no way the bottle is going to be stronger than I am.

              That was freakin' beautiful.....
Look at a stone cutter hammering away at his rock, perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred-and-first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not the last blow that did it, but all that had gone before.

Feels like the devil is speaking to me. And I believe it.

Cinders, loved your post as a rebuttal. We must know both sides.

A truly brilliant post as usual Mario and I'm not at all surprised it is quoted from an inmate. As a correctional officer, I observe the aftermath of alcoholism every day. Alcohol and drugs are still the motivation for most offenses. I applaud you for such an insightful post and look forward to many more.
Don't tell me it can't be done until I'm finished doing it.

WOW, Mario, Cacky, Cinders and Hippie! What great posts! It's the honest to God ugly, frightening truth that needs to be addressed to everyone! I'm going to print it out and also buy the book you mentioned, hippie. Thanks so much! Love, Vicki
I'm not what I should be, I'm not what I could be. I'm definetly not who I want to be,
but I'm sure not who I used to be!

                                Hi noelle,
As we are getting more knowledge about alcoholism its not as threatening now as it was,I am just guessing but maybe people were afraid and in denial about it then ?
