    The Eyes Of Jesus

What do the eyes of Jesus behold when they look into my soul?
What does He see when He looks at me?
Am I a witness shining bright or are my deeds as dark as night?
Are my thoughts pure and true or do they dwell on the wrong things to do?
Do I feel envy, greed or jealousy? What does He see when He looks at me?
As I begin each day, Lord, may I remember to pray.
Today, I commit to You...everything I think, say and do.
And in to the world I go, may Your love and mercy show.
With brotherly love and caring, all my earthly possessions gladly sharing.
And with the Holy Spirit's power, I can be what He wants to see
When the eyes of Jesus look at me.
I'm not what I should be, I'm not what I could be. I'm definetly not who I want to be,
but I'm sure not who I used to be!

There is no pit so deep that God's love is not deeper still.

    FAITH

Faith is a gift manifested in His Son, who died for everyone.
The gift is free, available for you and me when we pray
"Lord, I confess my unworthiness. Please come into my heart
and make me a part of Your kingdom."
Faith is like a seed planted in your heart
You water it when you pray, feed it with the Word,
keep it free of worldly weeds and it will grow
    stronger day by day.
I'm not what I should be, I'm not what I could be. I'm definetly not who I want to be,
but I'm sure not who I used to be!

There is no pit so deep that God's love is not deeper still.

      WHERE IS JESUS?

At the break of day, the woman saw the stone rolled away
      Early that first Easter morn.
Like them and the disciples on the road, when we try to carry our load
      We ask, Where is Jesus?
If we suffer because of the ones we love,
Is He isolated in Heaven above?
Does He care? Is He there, willingly, our burdens to share?
      Yes, He is here!
Ready to dry our tears and quiet our fears.
      Jesus is always near!
I'm not what I should be, I'm not what I could be. I'm definetly not who I want to be,
but I'm sure not who I used to be!

There is no pit so deep that God's love is not deeper still.

        THE CROSS

When on the Cross He hung
He cried, "It is finished! It is done!"
In the Garden of Eden man fell
        Condeming all mankind to hell.
But in the old covenant, God provided a way
For the children of Israel to not have to pay.
Then He sent His Son to show us the way it should be done.
And on the Cross His blood He freely shared for everyone.
On the cross He paid the price
So that we who believe wouldn't die twice.
Yes, on the Cross He paid the price.
        He made the ultimate sacrifice!
I'm not what I should be, I'm not what I could be. I'm definetly not who I want to be,
but I'm sure not who I used to be!

There is no pit so deep that God's love is not deeper still.

Thank you, sweet friend, for sharing those lovely poems.
Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.

Thank you, my sweet friend. I wish all of you that wrote poetry would share some of yours, even if it's not about God. I love poetry and it relaxes your soul.
