    ALLONE

helpmeout;144689 wrote: How funny! I, too, am doing WW and count drinks as points. I pretty much have given up, though, with a beer being 2 points each....I only get 22 points a day. I have noticed that you are on a lot of threads. I have to say I have been on MWO almost two weeks now and am very discouraged. I even stopped taking the supps this weekend. I still have not received the Allone from my local health store and my docs won't perscribe Topomax, plus I'm still on Effexor although I am weaning off. I am afraid to tell my hubby about all the money I've spent so far on the tapes, supps, etc. He is always saying I'm always trying to find the miracle pill for everything. I guess he's right. Also meeting with a surgeon tomorrow to discuss a biopsy. Kinda nervous. I am so ready to buy the Topomax on line but am nervous about that, too. Any advise Adagirl?
I'm only three days into this so maybe not the best person to be giving advice, but I will anyway as long as you asked. LOL If your doc won't prescribe Topamax, how about Campral or Naltrexone. These are the more standard drugs that can be prescribed by your primary care doctor (no specialist needed) and probably covered by your health insurance too. Of course, people slip up on these too. There is no magic pill. But, the Naltrexone is certainly helping me for now. I see it as a way to 'buy time' so I can figure out the deeper reasons why I drink. Naltrexone works by taking away the buzz/high if you do drink. So, basically, you can drink, but there's no reinforcement.

Anyway, you've got the AllOne on the way so you may as well try it when it gets to you. And, the hardest part of getting the Naltrexone or Campral is just admitting you have a drinking problem to your doctor. And, it sounds like you already did that if you asked for Topamax. So, you might just be able to call back and request one of these other prescriptions. The reality is that each of these drugs works differently for each person so I don't think its critical that you use Topamax. Yes, the author of MWO had success w/that and a lot of people do. But, a lot of people also have success w/the other options that are out there. Good Luck!

Can you take a good multivitamin and mineral supplement until the All One Gets there?

You need one with a good supply of B vitamins.

If you're taking the ALL ONE do you add the MWO suggested Amino Complete to that, or do you not need the aminos if you use the AO?

Iced, excess iron can be stored in the liver, and other organs. Men, and post menapausal women don't generally need added iron, especially if they eat red meat regularly. One container is unlikely to hurt you though. Just my 2cents.

                ALLONE

I LOVE the All-One! I swear I feel better when I eat it, much more energy, more focused and fewer cravings. I have it with yogurt or soy milk and some frozen fruit, stick it all in the blender for 30 seconds and Voila! breakfast. I've lost about 15 pounds, too.

I never used to eat breakfast before. I was always too hungover for anything but coffee.

Oh - Java - one of my favorites - 1/2 a frozen banana, soy milk, 1 tbsp of peanut butter and a little bit of honey. That's good when you want something a little heartier.
