    Sorry about hijacking your thread, LC .

    Paleo dieters generally avoid grains. I always avoid those with gluten and eat limited amounts of the others. (Sweet corn is too good to pass up right now!)

      Don't think I could ever manage a no-grain and no-dairy diet; I'd be hungry all the time (though, come to think of it, when I did the Atkins diet ten years ago, it was essentially no-grain and not much dairy, and after the third day I was never really hungry.)

      Today was a better day. Ran 3 miles, worked out at the gym for 45 minutes, then biked a few miles fast. Amazing what a difference getting six hours sleep will do for my energy level. Hope tomorrow's as good.

      Anybody else get some good exercise in today?

        Hey LC and y'all,

        Just about to Red J.

        LC, can you squeeze in 5-10 minutes of some sort of daily exercise or stretching/yoga into your busy schedule for now? You know you can! lol.

        Off for a light run, then it's study study, study. Have a good one out there everyone.

              Good am! Got my bi/chest workout, cardio and abs in! And stretched. Didn't get up at 6:00, but made it to the bike at 7:00. Will have to improve that in the future, but good start!

                Hey fitness Folks!

                Good on all of you getting out there and breaking a sweat!
                Yesterday the girls and I rode 30 km and swam a lot in a gorgeous, clean lake. I felt so fortunate to be there-- this week will continue to be hot, so we'll continue to swim.

                Mr. G-- today will be a day of a bit of stretching and yoga!

                Kensho, your plan is similar to mine when I'm going to the gym. It's difficult now, but I will be able to start up again next Monday.

                NS, I love hijackers! Especially if the talk is revolving around nutrition.

                Glad you're feeling better and with more energy today, Redjib!

                Don, how's your yard looking? A 5k sounds great-- is it a pretty course you're doing?

                    Day off, per plan. Feels strange after just starting. Saving up energy for tomorrow morning's cardio and leg lift... Very sore today from bi/chest which is a feeling I LOVE! (means I worked hard and progress is happening!!)

                      8k run today, then later a one-hour walk with the dogs. Maybe a quick workout at the gym this evening, too. I'm still tired, but not exhausted like I was a couple of days ago... Need to focus on being patient, as everyone says (patience is not my strong suit!)
                      Hope you all met your fitness and activity goals for today, too.

                        Great Job everyone! I ran 3 miles and swam for 45 minutes....feel good!

                        Lifechange, the course for the 5K Saturday is pretty but there are a couple hills that are going to suck....

                            I hopped in the lake yesterday and froze my butt off!
                            Today we are hanging around, cleaning house, watching films-- high intensity cardio!

                            Good on all of you keeping up with your goals.

                              An hour at the gym plus a short run on the treadmill yesterday (like 15 mins), but I ran 10k this morning on the road and it was great--the longest I've run since my AL-downward-spiral began a couple of months ago. It was definitely a lot easier to run today without all those toxins slopping around inside!
