Another 24 please in Calgary.

Thats cool about writing to Scott Adams, QW. Yeah, the corporate world is messed up, so many of us can relate to those cartoons.

LC, looking forward to a ceremony update.

We finally finished seeding late the other night, and now I’m trying to catch up on my sleep lol. I’ll be able to spend a bit more time here now that I don’t have to be on the tractor by 6:30am!

Things will get back to normal for me, normal work and best of all, normal hours. And I think Bubba and I have come to some sort of agreement on our living arrangements with a big compromise on my part, but it’s worth it to be with her and Hank. It’s a big relief, but will still take some time to negotiate through everything needing to get done. More on that as the story unfolds…

It’s a day early, but since she gets up with the birds well before I do, I figured I’d better get this cake out tonight!

You must be exhausted, Cowboy!
I’m relieved for you that some sort of compromise has been reached for you & Bubba’s living situation, instead of continued uncertainty.

My knee was really bothering me yesterday into today. I think I overextended it doing a downward dog pose; and maybe overused it biking the hilly direction too many days in a row, in order to head into the wind. But today wasn’t windy, so I could go the gentler direction on the bike trail. So I’ve been icing it, and adding in pain gel in addition to the pain pills.

I recognized Scott Adams’ name as soon as I read your quote, Dill! You can really relate to his comics, QW, if you may have worked at the same places! I’m happy that you escaped the Corporate World too!
My brother escaped it a couple years ago after 25 years; he quit due to being treated unfairly; but, by eliminating his main purpose, his main use of skills & expertise, and his main socialization, I think it led to his downfall and spiral into depression and then suicide. I wish they would’ve just treated him fairly instead of making him do all the traveling! But that’s not how the corporate world functions.
My twin sister escaped the corporate business world too after a quarter century plus of abuse and madness; but it has left her so scarred that she is afraid to work again.
So my hat is off to Scott Adams for showing us with humor just how crazy it is!

It was a beautiful day here -and another sober one too.

A lot of emotions today. Even this too shall pass.
It might feel like a kidney stone, but it will pass. I don't drink.

Good old Mr. V, I miss him. I somehow feel confident that he is still doing well.

Beautiful job on the cake, Cowboy.

Slo, I hope your knee is feeling better.

Mr. D bought a new TV so now I have to get used to using it. I miss the days when you could buy a TV, plug it in and watch it. It took more than an hour to get the new one set up and working and it's going to take days for me to get good at using the new remote!

24 more please and thank you.

I hear you on the new TVs Dill! My daughters boyfriend just bought a 70 inch one but it's so hard to mount it on the wall it's still in the box, my satellite company keeps wanting me to upgrade to the newer receiver box but who knows how long that'll take for me to learn-ill pass cuz I only watch a few channels anyways, Happy Birthday Jude took me a bit to read the name on the cake haha, Ginger glad your knee is improving, Slo I hope yours does too quickly! 5:46 am in Vegas another 24,the casinos opened up yesterday and although I don't gamble anymore I was excited for some reason, maybe just to try to get back to "normal"
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"

Happy birthday, Jude. You share a birthday with my oldest son. He turns 46 today, which seems impossible seeing how I'm "at most" 50! Lol

I'll take another 24, please and thank you!

Another 24 hours please & thank you.

Happy Birthday Jude! Hope you have a great day.

I too miss Mr V, his wisdom, his observations and his dedication to remaining af.

Ginger, if I make it until July 20th, assuming Mrs QW doesn’t do me in before then, it’ll be our 46th anniversary. I’ve told people for years that I got married at 6. Had to!

Pauly & Dill, I get frustrated by the latest electronics. Guess sometimes it’s a good thing to have a teenager around! Even my 6 year old grandson has technical skills superior to mine.

Wishing everyone a great af Friday, stay safe & well.

Has anyone else had trouble with this site being really slow lately? It took me forever just to post yesterday. Today it seems fine, but the last few days have been frustrating for sure!

Glad that the seeding is done cowboy, and that you've been able to reach some sort of compromise with Bubba about the living arrangements.

I miss Mr. V as well and hope that he is doing well.

Jude, yes I have been noticing how slow the site is. I press the like button and have to wait several seconds for it to work.

Cowboy I'm glad you've reached a compromise with Bubba and look forward to hearing "the rest of the story". (Remember Paul Harvey? He was a great radio personality!)

QW, how old were you really when you and Mrs. Q married? I was 25 and Mr. D was 27. I remember at the time I felt like getting married at 25 was really "late". Things have really changed since then!

Wishing everybody another 24.

Got over to Veg yesterday afternoon to spend 3 nights here, then back to the grind on Monday. Looks like the time I got to spend with Hank outside yesterday afternoon will be all the sunshine we see for the weekend as the clouds rolled in last night and it's supposed to be rainy all weekend.

Thanks for the great quotes this past week dill! I saw Mr Vervill online a little while back, but he didn't post anything. I've pm'd him a few times but haven't had any replies. And yes, I do remember Paul Harvey, and I enjoyed listening to him every morning!
