    Time flies

    Greetings, my friends...
    Yes, it has been a looong time and (again!).. this is entirely my fault. Life got busy once I got sober

    I would like to put this here for all of you/us who are still struggling.. who might have thoughts of just giving up: DON'T! DO NOT GIVE UP!

    Today, I am 5 years sober. I don't know how many tries it took... I lost count. I failed again and again. I sabotaged my own recovery... my sanity, my self worth.
    But, Every time I f*cked up, I dusted myself off and went at it again. Every time it seemed a little harder getting that motivation to try ONE MORE TIME.

    It is worth it. YOU are worth it. Please keep going.

    I wish you love and light and I thank you all for being here when I was all but hopeless.

    Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

            Sunnybuns!! So great to see you!! Huge congrats on 5 years! I know you have gone through some difficult times but you didn't let that derail you! Fantastic!! So happy for you!! Please don't be a stranger - we'd love to hear your news!

              You know, I had a big *GULP* moment last night when I wrote this post and checked out my profile and signature line. It took me FIVE years from first coming here (hence KNOWING I had a problem) to actually be able to get off the elevator. I didn't think it was that long. Shows what I know

                      Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
                      Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
                      Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.
