    Re: May 31st

    MAE ALL...

Lav...survived the meetings. LOL Just let everybody else talk and stayed out of it. Did you get your heat back again today?

    Pauly...a quick back at ya.

Mick...nice day here today, not that I'd notice, been working inside all day. Boss called with an unexpected project so that's been keeping me busy. Question about your garden...have you ever had problems with ants and if so how do you get rid of them? I think that's one of the problems of the internet, all these things have always been happening only now we know about them.

Thinking of you these days TG and hoping you're ok.

Thinking of the rest of the gang as well, been pretty quiet on here lately.

I've had enough of computer work for now so am taking a break. Think I'll make an egg salad sandwich. Have a good night all...:smile:PPQP

      Re: May 31st

      Greetings Abbers,

Yep, hot & sunny, stormy & waiting on another storm now. We managed a run to Costco between all that haha!
My daugher texted me & said they’ve had no power for almost 6 hours so no AC in this mess.

Mick, I think our fearless leaders are both supreme idiots. They refused to listen to the scientists & the medical community. Somehow THEY know more about a novel virus than the experts?? HAHA, my A$$! The entire administration here is worthless & dangerous. Peaceful protestors being gassed & hit with rubber bullets in Washington DC while the National Guard is present is just unheard of.
No sure how much rain we got today but I don’t have any watering to do this evening. Ihope Jeeves feels better quickly!!

PQ, all I can say is my hair knows it’s super humid outside, LOL
I have biting ants in one of my raised beds where i grow milkweed & stuff for the butterflies. They don’t seems to bother the plants but they sure do bite the heck out of me if I put my hands in the dirt.

Hello to Det, Pie & Sam.
      Cyn, thinking of you

      Have a dceent night everyone!

PQ, hope you get a break from constant computer eyes today, Kell had tons of red ants right in the boy's play area, she just poured Raid in the holes, peaceful or not these protesters completely forgot there's a virus out there, the crowd in L. A was enormous yesterday! Jam packed and they were hit with alot if cases so I wonder what the next two weeks is gonna look like? A small earthquake in CA last night but I felt it, thought I was having one of my low iron dizzy spells but seen this fish tank water swaying so I knew I wasn't trippin haha! Another day another dollar (literally) much love to all and wishes for a great BF Thursday!
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

            Re: May 31st

Time seems to be moving very quickly lately. So much going on, it’s tough to keep up. Covid, civil unrest, storm in the Gulf all demanding attention. Nine hour power outage has me researching portable generators to keep refrigerator and maybe a/c running. Engines and such are not really my cup of tea, but taking this on as a project appeals, so that’s what I’m up to. Foster dog is getting steroids and laser acupuncture to calm down his immune system.

Mick, hope to hear that your brother is well.

Lav, not sure I’d believe a chicken bath story coming from anyone but you.

PQ, I’m laughing at both of us covering our laptop cameras when apparently there’s a setting to address that.

Greetings to the rest of the gang!

              MAE ALL...

Lav...with a community garden we are not allowed to use any kind of pesticides, it all has to be organic. Biting red ants, no thanks. Hope your hair settled down today.

Mick...hope your brother phoned and everything is ok. Going down to 1 metre is ridiculous. Here if you can't stay 2 metre's apart it just doesn't happen. Unless you're protesting I guess!!!

Pauly...been at the computer all day. I have a list of 324 items that were not restored and boss wants me to come up with a $ value for everything. Although the insurance company is going to do just that he wants his own idea of the amount. What a pain in the a$$. Did take a break and play a bit of bridge this afternoon.

Pi...it must be 5 years ago now when my son was in charge of paying the bills and all of a sudden our electricity was cut off. That's when I took over bill paying. He did however go out and buy a generator. It now sits on our balcony so I'm good. Should really see if it has any gas in it though. To be honest I couldn't be bother to look for the setting at the time. LOL

Had my break so back to looking up prices. Have a good night all....:smile:PPQP

                Re: May 31st

                Good evening Abbers,

Sitting out on the deck while I can. More storms due to blow thru here later. We did not lose power last night but the generator is ready just in case.
My daughter said her power was off from 2 pm yesterday until 5 am this morning, ugh!
Temp hit 87 today with lots of humidity of course. I am really hoping the hair shop reopens tomorrow so I can get in line. I have never needed a hair cut so badly in my life haha!
11:59 tonight the Stay at Home order expires which means businesses can start to open in a safe manner. Here’s hoping we all stay safe!

Mick, sorry to hear about your brother’s BP. Mine has gotten that high a few times so I insisted on having a diuretic added to my daily BP med, it’s fine now. I hope he got some help!
Take care of yourself too

Pauly, my hair cutter always gets a good tip so you should too!!

Pi, a small generator is not a bad idea just be sure that you don’t put it inside the house. It has to be. Left outside so you don’t become overwhelmed with CO2 fumes.
I feel like we’ve been in a time warp but things will pick up speed after the reopening starts I’m sure.

PQ, I laughed when you mentioned your electric bill. I took bill paying duties away from yB decades ago when we were getting shut off notices from all of the utilities. We were both working, making good money & it was sitting in the checking account unused. I kicked his a$$ for that haha!! Hope the rest of your day wasn’t too bad.

                Hello to Det & Sam!
                Hugs to Cyn

                Have a nice night everyone!

Also the track and trace they were talking about ..it isnt going to be ready until the autumn..

Was watching the news earlier ..think it was New York and someone had videoed the police pushing a protester ...a pensioner over..he smacked his head onthe pavement ..you could see the claret and yet they all walked passed him ..obviously I can only see what has been shown but it looks pretty rubbish .

                    Re: May 31st

Mae everybody, Lav now I'm curious to see how bad your hair is haha some customers are coming in with huge hair and I don't even recognize them at first Mick I think the masks will be here for awhile, it's hard with the heat here my face gets hot in the masks that probably actually work so I've been wearing thin ones that probably don't protect but at least I'm covered, PQ, I never thought of it needing to be organic, how about vinegar? Boric acid? Diatomaceous earth? Heck I dunno, we bought this stuff called Zevo it's supposed to be all natural and safe for pets and people, my owner stripped the"manager" of her duties, I think cuz she ain't doing anything anyways and hasn't came back to work yet so he's pissed, says he's gonna do the job that oughta be interesting, it used to be like that at first but then he started traveling and needed someone to make his bank deposits for the week so he had this girl do it, that's basically all that job is cuz we're booth rent so self employed, anyhoo enough on that shitbox, much love to all and wishes for me and PQ's favorite Booze Free Fryday!!
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

                      MAE ALL...

Lav...so did the hair salons open and did you get in? We've been sitting around 62F which is just perfect. Rain supposed to start tonight and last through the weekend. Oldest son has gone camping and I gotta say things feel a lot calmer around here. Asked him if was going to social distance and he said F that, so I told him he couldn't come home. He told me I'd have to move out as he was here first. LOL When I asked him how many people were going he said it was just him and another couple, who have been part of his cohort for awhile so that's ok. I have to stop bringing up covid as he just explodes over the stupidity of it.

Mick...I'm glad you heard from your brother and that they've adjusted BP meds for now. Govt cock up...that made me giggle. You haven't heard from Canada because we are currently hiding from the US and trying to avoid a war. US wants to open the border and Canada says No Thanks. Generally speaking our politicians are leaving everything up to the professionals and things are going ok. Finished the insurance spreadsheet at noon today, you should see the Google Ads that pop up now when I'm online. LOL We're looking at roughly $60K....."Britain appears to be successfully avoiding a second wave by keeping the first wave going!" :rotlf:

Pauly...I wouldn't want to be wearing a mask in Vegas either! So it looks like the casinos can start taking peoples money again. Sounds like the owner made a good call, now you'll just have to put up with him. Any interest in you taking over the management duties? I have left the "ant" decision up to the rest of the executive, about time for others to step up.

Taking the afternoon off, unfortunately my bridge players are not available. May have to look for a Texas Holdem tourney to occupy my time. LOL As Pauly says, have a Great Booze Free Fryday.....:smile:PPQP

                        Greetings Abbers,

Couldn’t get on the site earlier for some reason.
I have gotten over the disappointment of not getting my hair cut today as planned, haha! Turns out the governor wants us to look like idiots for a a few more weeks I guess.
Still hot & humid, had a storm again after dinner & more due tomorrow, ugh.

Mick, that police incident in NY was horrendous. The country is going crazy
I hope your brother is doing better & gets that BP stabilized so he can have his surgery.
We are all still wearing masks here, the virus is no where near over & people need to understand that regardless of how tired they are of the situation. Stay safe!

Pauly, if you are dealing with the public then please keep the mask on. We want you to stay healthy too

PQ, I hope you can convince your son to self isolate at least for a few days after he gets home. He does realize your immunity issue, right?
I hope you enjoyed your afternoon off even though you were cardless

Hello to Det, Pie & Sam. Hugs to you Cyn

Mae everybody, PQ, good your pm is keeping the borders closed for now, wish he'd run our country too, he seems like a decent person and very easy on the eyes haha I doubt your son woulda picked anything up out camping but who knows what his friends are carrying, no I have absolutely no interest in "managing" anything, shit is gonna hit the fan today cuz we have this one lady who just came back, I think I told you guys in the past that she's wacky and wears a gun to work? Anyways she started fighting with the other lady yesterday yelling at her "that's why you don't have a man, cuz you're a bitch"! Then she called the owner to say she's being picked on, this lady has only been back for 5 days and is already causing drama, I'm telling the owner she needs to go, he's probably gonna resist but if he wants to deal with her calling/texting 5-10 a shift then he can deal with her! We were doing just fine til she came back, took the boys out to eat yesterday and Romeo acted like he'd been in a basement for 3 months poor guy, we never took them anywhere the whole time, not even the grocery store so when he got to get outta the car and walk he was so happy and was practically running from excitement, Louie was excited too, anyways much love to all and wishes for a great BF Saturday!
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

                              Greetings folks!

Another hot & humid day but no rain for a change! I hope my daughter & granddaughter decided to come for a visit tomorrow when the weather will be cooler.
Nothing exciting going on here today. Picking nearly a quart of strawberries everyday & they are good! Next up will be the blueberries followed by the raspberries. We’re a regular fruit salad around here Lol
The old apple & peach trees have given up & are now in the process of falling over in the designated meadow area. The wildlife can eat all they want from those trees, they always have.
The chickens are producing 4-5 eggs a day, don’t know what the remaining 12 birds are doing with their time.

Pauly, you really have to find another salon. Why put yourself in the same place with a gun toting whacko? She could hurt a lot of innocent people with that thing
Be careful please! Glad you got out with the boys, that’s something I’ve missed too.

Mick, thanks for taking. The rain off my hands today, haha!
Hope your brother is more stable today, I know that must be a worry for you.
I’m about ready to start wearing a baseball cap to cover up my way overgrown hair. I have plenty of them leftover in my embroidery shop.

Hello to PQ, Pie, Det, Sam & Cyn.

Hope everyone has a decent night!
