Well, this pic/statement only inflates an already BIG head here.....:H
    That's beautiful Chilli.

Thank's for this thread Wanna. You are putting positive thoughts into action too, by just posting this thread. I'm strong, and a fairly focused dude these day's, but i totally understand and agree with the 'doom and gloom' negative thinking and those feeling's/emotion's being addictive, familiar, and somehow comfortable. I've been in that space before, and for a long time, despite being a naturally positive bloke. All good now though......;-0

Great stuff, thank's for those relaxing pic's too.

Excerpt from the book Awareness by Anthony De Mello

A man found an eagle's egg and put it in a nest of a barnyard hen. The eaglet hatched with the brood of chicks and grew up with them.
All his life the eagle did what the barnyard chicks did, thinking he was a barnyard chicken. He scratched the earth for worms and insects. He clucked and cackled. And he would thrash his wings and fly a few feet into the air.
Years passed and the eagle grew very old. One day he saw a magnificent bird above him in the cloudless sky. It glided in graceful majesty among the powerful wind currents, with scarcely a beat of its strong golden wings.
The old eagle looked up in awe. "Who's that?" he asked.
"That's the eagle, the king of the birds," said his neighbor. "He belongs to the sky. We belong to the earth we're chickens." So the eagle lived and died a chicken, for that's what he thought he was.

That's right Wanna. There's a great quote that goes something like....'Alway's look up, because beyond the grey clouds, is the sun'.....something like that. Nice eh? and true...

    Nice thread.

My hubby is a gloom and doom kinda guy. Lately I've been telling him to be careful with his negative vibes and the laws of attraction. He must have actually been listening and will catch himself once in awhile and stop. :H

two buddhist monks were travelling through a forest when they got to a river, at the side of the river was a young woman unable to get across. The older monk asked her if he could help and carried the young woman over to the other side. The woman thank the monk and they continued on their journey. After a few miles of silence the younger monk finally spoke "I cant believe you touched that woman, it is forbidden for us to do that" the older monk turned to him and said "I cant believe you are still carrying her, I put her down ages ago".

What are you still carrying inside of you that is not serving you? Today lets practise letting go of these thoughts......

On your way to your positive attitude avoid negative and confrontational words such as WHY, CAN'T and WON'T. Remember to check your language often, is the glass "half empty" or "half full", is it "partly cloudy" or "partly sunny"? They're just words, but are a reflection of how your mind sees things and an indication of how you process thoughts.
