Dear Lord, thank you for helping me make it through my first AF week in quite some time. I feel your calming presence. I don't need to run away from alcohol any more, because you will be there helping me. Thank you for all of my blessings, especially for my good husband. In Your name, Amen.

Dear Lord, thank you for all you have given me, especially our home. You have lifted a great burden from my shoulders as you help me battle alcohol. I feel the inner peace that only you can bring me. In Your name, Amen.

Dear Lord, thank you for all I have including steady meaningful work over all these years. I feel your strength growing inside me, so I can continue to fight my alcohol addiction. in Your name, Amen.

Dear Lord, thank you more than I can describe tor taking away my desire to drink. I have been fighting this battle for so long. You have helped me, including finding this site over 4 years ago. But now I have put my trust completely in you. Thank you, Amen.

Dear Lord, Thanks you for the power against alcohol you continue to give me. Thank you also for my friends. They know I have had difficulty with alcohol. They are happy to spend time with me doing things other than sharing a bottle of wine. I am grateful to have them. Amen.

Dear Lord, thank you for my freedom: freedom from being compelled to drink, freedom to do as I wish instead of factoring in the alcohol. In Your name, Amen.

Dear Lord, thank you for giving me the voice of reason regarding my drinking. Not drinking is the only reasonable choice given my history and health. This is my fourteenth day, and that desire to drink has not entered my head once. In Your name, Amen.

Dear God, thank you for helping me regain my self-respect. No one has any self-respect after all sorts of drunken behaviors, but I especially hate the sneaking around drinking and hiding bottles. In Your name, Amen.

Dear God, thank you for the gift of savored time. My struggles against alcohol have included racing home to get a drink, and racing out of the house so I don't drink. I am finally finding I can use my time any way I choose. In Your name, Amen.

My God, thank you for the strength you give me in my battle against alcohol. I will continue to especially need this on special and social occasions, and I know you will be there, Amen.
