what do you think of Fermin Romero de Torres? I thought he was an amazing character, funny, intelligent, and shameless!! You'll have to read his 'The Angel's Game" next!

I just finished reading this book and all I can say - what an adventure. And, Yes, Techie, Fermin Romero de Torres was my absolute favorite character! Funny, witty, intelligent and loyal (oh, and shameless, too!)

This author has a wonderful style of storytelling and if you enjoy reading a book that is rich in plot and character development (and believe me, there are plenty of characters), this is an excellent read.

One of my favorite quotes from Fermin was:

"Like the good ape he is, man is a social animal, characterized by cronyism, nepotism, corruption, and gossip. That's the intrinsic blueprint for our 'ethical behavior' - it's pure biology."
