This is a story about Hildy, a successful Boston shore realtor, mom, and grandmother whose two adult daughters staged an intervention and sent her to rehab. When she returns, she drinks in private, mostly, trying to maintain the charade that she’s in recovery. And that’s where the story takes off. This book is categorized as fiction, but the denial, shame and guilt are all too familiar. I liked this book and would put it in third place as a great drinking-lifestyle type account right after Drinking, A Love Story and A Drinking Life.
