Hi - I sent you an email, but thought it might be easier to answer here. I have been taking antidepressants for more than 10 years and am currently taking 225 mg of Effexor once a day (in the morning). Can topiramate be taken with this? And, if so, will the side effects increase? Thank you!! Michelle

Thanks for your interest in the program. Topamax is often used with antidepressants to offset weight gain. Effexor often decreases appetite so you may have to be careful to not lose too much weight. Otherwise they will be fine together.
