I don't have a good calendar at home. When does lent start?

Does it start on Ash Wednesday? If so, it is Feb. 6th.

Thanks Lushy. I went 30 days, and tonight I am having a bit of a slip-if it is not obvious from my posts. I am going to have to extend beyond the 30 days. If I cannot give it up for myself, I may have to try for a higher power.

It does start on Wednesday. That is why Tuesday is called Fat Tuesday. Everyone goes out to party and eat before they have to give it up.

Thanks Croft. Pyschologically, days 28, 29, and 30 were so hard. I made a committment for 30 days. So now it is like "well now you can drink." I will get back on track, but I hope that I don't drink all the way through Fat Tuesday.

I think I crave it more when I think I am not going to be able to have some for a while. I am staying AF until Saturday and I have to admit I am really looking forward to Saturday.
