hello, just got my nalt today! i probaly will do sinclair and understand the whole taking it an hour before you drink. but also just curious how long the naltrexone lasts if you take one. would it work for a few days or just that day? i heard it stays in your system for a few days working with the not over doing it with the alcohol consumption.

It works right away...in like 5 Min's. for me and I had no desire to drink the next day either. I didn't try the Sinclair method so don't really know how to comment on that one. I used it to stop my compulsion to drink when I had started on a binge and it worked for me.

Start with 25 mg the first two days, then 50 mg for each day after that which you are drinking, taken one hour before you drink.
