Saucy...GOOD JOB! 60 days is a real turning point. You have been pretty cool and collected through the whole thing too, I might add.

Ima go pick up garbage with my local garden club here in a sec, but just a quick word to Greeneyes, I loved the title and could possibly have used a shot of Karen Caseys Let go now: Embrasing Detatchment. When I read the Amz link... The words were no need to (essentially) fix, resolve, rescue control. And those are all good things to let go of for sure, especially if you are the type to get overly involved in kids n parents lives.

I could have used some help 15 to 25 years ago, when I was specifically looking for guidance on how to somehow release and escape from the pain of being denigrated, ostracized, rediculed and occassionally beaten, but mainly made to feel like I was the reason for my parents breakup (Im 7 - 10 years younger than everyone else and the parental marriage fell apart when I was about 6 to 9...) that I didnt fit in, I was stupid, I was not part of the family yada yada, so not so much how to stop helping and fixing, and rescuing and controlling, but how to no long suffer the slings and arrows of a truely cold and loveless upbringing, that as adults together (if you could call that together) I was always a target. its hard to believe isnt it. Kaslo....the supremely confident science type, funny, smart etc etc. But no.. Not always and AL was my painkiller, except that I HAD an immediate family and it took a while for it to sink in to cut those people loose or at least set some boundaries. No you cant talk to me like that. No you are not going to succeed in making me feel like shit. Etc...

So if anyone out there has a book on how to deal with making people stop using us as a punching bag for thier own particular pain, how not to be a victim, I could have used it in 1986 to about 2006 (and before obvi) but it was 86 to 06 that the drinking escalated....

BUT NO MORE.. Bwaa ha ha.

BTW my family also had good times, and there is admiration there too. But also a lot of pain and jealousy.

Anyway this wont get the baby a new pair of pants, so better get to work.
