Hey, thanks a lot. That is amazing you would remember that. I really hope it's nothing, but either way, I'll live. I'll let you know when I get back.

Well, I got nothing out of the doctor appointment. What I was concerned about was exactly what happened. He said, "I don't feel a lump, so I don't think it is a hernia." I'm obviously not a doctor, but I can research. I read hours on this online. Recently, the term "sports hernia" has come up often. This is a hernia where no lump is present. Now, I'm not saying that is what it is, but I got no answer from the doc. He said it is most likely a muscle pull, and could take months to heal. Not what I wanted to here. I showed him exactly where the pain was, and asked what muscle it that? The fact that he couldn't give me more information showed me he wasn't very confident in why I had this pain, and referred me to another doctor which he stated was a specialist. Anybody out there get a groin pain for months? This is not an intestinal or any organ related issue. I remember exactly when this occurred, as I pulled it jumping awkwardly for a basketball. I've never been hurt this long! It's not getting better. Pulls and strains should get better in time, not stay the same. Well, I'll just have to see the other doctor.

Doc's

Hi Morrison, what a disappointment that Doc was after waiting so long to see him too. On a positive note he didn't dismiss you or WORSE like whip you into hospital!! When is your appointment with other Doc, do you have to wait for an appointment? Just so you know you are not alone, I am still in a great deal of pain five weeks after my fall and it is muscular, apparently muscle damage can take quite a while to ease. Stay strong.

Hello Tea. Thanks again. Sorry to hear that you are still in pain as well. And, the doctor I saw is good, but not a specialist in hernias. He may be right about a muscle tear. He did say it could take months. That was frustrating to hear. Now that you're telling me it's been 5 weeks for you, maybe it is a muscle tear or something. I didn't realize muscle pulls/tears could take so long to heal. I'm sure you can relate to how frustrating it is to not be able to go 100 percent. I'm still working out, but only going about 25 percent. I have to take it sooo easy. I want to get my 6-pack back(my stomach that is, not beer), but I can't get rid of this little pouch without working out heavier. Tea, I see the specialist one week from today. I hope we can at least figure out what it is. Have you been back to the doctor since you initially injured yourself? What kind of advice/information have you gotten to expidite the recovery process. Thanks. I really hope you heal up soon.
