    Welcome to stutter class.

Paddy and Murphy are out in the Irish countryside shooting pheasants when, all of a sudden, a guy appears overhead in a hang-glider. Paddy and Murphy immediately open fire trying to blow holes out of it. The hang-glider turns away and Murphy turns to Paddy and says, "what the feck was that?!"

"Don't know," replies Paddy, "but whatever it was, it wasn't for letting him go!"

I was having awful trouble trying to get the conversion rate to an acceptable level within the bandwidth available and then I thought...

What the fck am I doing?...

Just got a new job and my mate asked me, "What sort of hours are you doing?"

My reply was, "Sixty minute ones, you thick git."

Morning All, Up at regular 6am time today. Early pet care duties have ended for now, and the dog I'm keeping here will go home today. Planning regular Monday visit to my dad.

Mick, SG is forming friendships with classmates and going on free-time adventures with them. Yesterday she met up here with a Czech pal, and a group of them went to the lake. Sounds like you have a project in mind for easing Sandy's access out of the house. If we hear of a pallet shortage in the UK, we'll know where they all went!

      Good morning Abbers

      Sun, no rain, awesome!!!!
Only heading up to 79 degrees too, yay. Tomorrow will be another story as the rain storms are due to return.
I am on boy watch today so I am grateful for the decent weather. My daughter & granddaughter are also coming out for a visit so it will be fun!

Mick, I'm thinking Sandy needs you to build a ramp of some sort. I'm sure you work it out for her
We had a big year for honeysuckle here too. It grew thru the fence around the chicken yard so they had a lot of fun. The is an elderberry tree dropping fruit into their yard right now. I hope they don't decide to make wine, ha ha!!

Greetings Sam. Pie, NS, bear, Det, Pauly & Matt!
Wishing everyone a wonderful AF Monday. I'll be back later if I survive all the fun today, ha ha.

      Lav

        Good MAE, Abbers

Mick, your computer woes are too familiar!! Our oldest functioning one has a 14" screen and runs Windows 95! It never gets on the internet anymore (used to connect with a phone modem) and is basically a glorified checkbook and CD player. I guess will keep it so someday we can show our grandkids what computers were like back in the day.

Enjoy your day with your family, Lav. Like you, I'm so grateful to have gotten my life straightened out so I could be fully "there" as a grandmother. I would never have risked caring for a baby if I were drinking and would have missed so much.

Pie, does your dad live fairly near you? I wish my parents were closer - they're a couple hours away. Our dog injured her paw with too much playing on Saturday (she's on obsessive ball retriever and there were enough people around for her to find someone to play with almost all day) so now we've got a 65 lb dog who can barely walk -- I could use a dog care specialist!

I spent much of my lazy day reading Being Mortal. It is a really thought-provoking book -- I'd highly recommend.

Hi, to all who stop by! NS

Thought I would try this posting early thing again. Beautiful day yesterday....we waited most of the day for hubby to get home to go to a movie. Sundays he usually gets home a bit early....not yesterday though. It's hard to plan anything with the way they do things.

I avoid the pool on the weekends. It gets crowded.....and that is when people bring beer to the pool. Nothing outrageous like the old place.....but, I'm just not there yet where I feel safe being exposed to it.

I watched a lot of "hot in Cleveland" yesterday. They drink a lot on the show.....but, it never triggers me because they are not drinking my drink of choice. I do love Betty White though.

Today is pool day.....funny the kids don't even like to go down on the weekends.

Pauly....so glad to see you back.

Yes, Mick it is time for me to give myself that early birthday present....and some other resolutions that will help solidify that present

            Good Morning
Typical Texas Summer day here, and will be prob till September....
Next week will be a nice break as we will be on Vacation, in the Mountainsof New Mexico. 60-70's for highs and 40s for lows...

Mick- Nice one, yea it's scary to think I may have someone's life in my hands at any given moment. Bees, wasp or anything else that can fly at me and inflict pain, I could and would tryto move a mountain in attempt to get away, little fckers give me the creeps....

Lav sounds like a great day to have kids over, 79, they can actually enjoy the outdoors.
            I hate our summers...

NS- Thanks for the Book link, I had a sample sent to my Kindle App and really liked it.

Hey Sunflower and soon to be One Year Pie!

Yes, NS, Dad lives about 25 minutes away. Sorry about your hurting pupper. Worst case, you can use a bath towel as a sling to help support her weight as she walks, out to the backyard, for example. Rest is often all they need though, and easier to insist upon with an older dog, than with a puppy.

That is a good idea to keep in mind, Pie, if she ever gives up walking entirely but she still limps (apparently painfully) up to us and keeps dropping balls in front of us to throw and then wants to gimp off after them. Luckily my spouse is at work today - I just ignored the balls she drops but he kept giving in and tossing them for her yesterday. Neither of them got the concept of resting it!! She is 56 in human years and he is 57 so they both should be smarter!! (Today she has barely moved from her bed, I'm happy to say so maybe some healing can happen).

                    evening all,
Had Mick type troubles with the internet this morning. Couldn't get on the site or a couple other sites, only google, making google building an internet iron curtain, I don't know.

NS, I still have my windows 95 computer as well, I was using to convert my vinyl records to disc but haven't in awhile. One computer at our soon to be defunct survey office still works and it is a dos/windows 3.1 with the old survey program. It was a good one too. We made it a point never to put the computers with work programs on line, thus not gumming up the works anti virus software.

Not much happening, hope everyone had a good day!
                    Sam

Matt, what an exciting dinner.. not to worry, strange things happen to me very often. I figure it's way better than leading a boring life.

Lav, you finally got a weather break, what a relief. nope, no mattress for Mr hardcore here.... I just slept on the desert floor on a sleeping bag.
It was actually more comfortable than my bed at home, which reminds me I reeeeely need to get a new mattress. ugh.

sure grateful to be without nagging drinking thoughts or even dreams lately. not sure why but I'm A-ok with that.
