    Inspirational Links

I guess this pretty much follows on from the thread I started yesterday regarding people we would like to meet past and present. I am always looking to learn and be inspired by text/video links that make me question my own viewpoint and in doing so broadens my reading/viewing further. Anyone who has any links (text or video) that may encapsulate your own inspirational people then please feel free to share them with me here.

Bill Hicks was one of the people on my list yesterday and for me changed my perception about a lot of things. But it is the end to his 'revelations' vid that always reminds me that life is just a ride.......[ame= ]YouTube - Bill Hicks - Last Words ( A Tribute )[/ame].

I'll post more of my own links later and I hope you'll do the same too.

Hi Hippie, I have logged onto utube but can't get anything - gggrrrr. I have never been able to get anything to play on it, it keeps starting and stopping at intervals of about two seconds. What am I doing wrong.... so annoying !

            Afro Celt Sound System

[ame= ]YouTube - Afro Celt Sound System - Persistence of Memory[/ame]

This is one of the Celts more commercial tunes (hence the fact it has a video!!)

If you want to get a better idea of what the band is about try this youtube vid as well.

                Breaking the Habit

                [ame= ]YouTube - Linkin Park - Breaking The Habbit[/ame]

                "Breaking The Habit"

                Memories consume
                Like opening the wound
                I'm picking me apart again
                You all assume
I'm safe here in my room
Unless I try to start again

                [Bridge:]
I don't want to be the one
                The battles always choose
                'Cause inside I realize
                That I'm the one confused

                [Chorus:]
                I don't know what's worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
                I don't know why I instigate
And say what I don't mean
I don't know how I got this way
                I know it's not alright
                So I'm breaking the habit
                I'm breaking the habit
                Tonight

                Clutching my cure
                I tightly lock the door
I try to catch my breath again
                I hurt much more
                Than anytime before
I had no options left again

                [Bridge:]
I dont want to be the one
                The battles always choose
                'Cause inside I realize
                That I'm the one confused

                [Chorus:]
                I don't know what's worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
                I don't know why I instigate
And say what I don't mean
I don't know how I got this way
                I'll never be alright
                So, I'm breaking the habit
                I'm breaking the habit
                Tonight

                [Bridge:]
I'll paint it on the walls
'Cause I'm the one at fault
                I'll never fight again
And this is how it ends

                [Chorus:]
                I don't know what's worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
But now I have some clarity
to show you what I mean
I don't know how I got this way
                I'll never be alright
                So, I'm breaking the habit
                I'm breaking the habit
                I?m breaking the habit
                Tonight
