If there is a guy bringing her home, I would be up, cleaning my gun when they come in....

        LMAO, Chief!!

IAD, ah...those bittersweet moments were we want them to grow up and be responsible adults and yet we are stuck with wanting them to stay our precious babies forever. :sighbubble:

You just go on being that proud protectful Daddy. Maybe without the firearms. Just a thought. :H

It is a bittersweet feeling, IAD. Although I'm a Mom, not a Dad, I can relate to everything you're saying.

Sit, pray and hope you did a good job...just kidding. From your post I sense the father snorting! Just makes me think of my wedding pictures where my dad walked me down the isle almost in tears, pissed mad...like the godfather.

I-she's growing up. Oh gosh, this is just a prom. How will you be at the wedding?!? I'm mAking light of this. My babes are still young.

                    Kate,

What a beautiful thing though if you look at it through the healthy lense...LOL!

You are always Mom, and there is a very different role that a daughter-in-law plays. See it as a joy and not a threat.... you havent lost a son, you've only gained a daughter. (just when we thought we got rid of them)

My husband has a wonderful relationship with his Mom. It is a beautiful thing to see. Yes, they need to cut their umblical chord with Mom, but unless they are taking Mom out for dinner on Friday night instead of you, then I think your love is safe. Just my 2 pennies!

My son's senior prom is tonight, what a great event for everyone! Our limo driver knows us well and is a great "manny", we get a phone call if he sees anything out of line. One of our rules is hands above the waist at all times :h
