    Re: 9th Feb

And good afternoon all how are we today then? hope everyone is ok. At the moment we still have bad weather, it doesn't know from one minute to the next whether it wants to snow or rain. We have another storm warning for the weekend and this time it is Storm Dennis who makes these names up I don't know managed to clean the rabbits hutch this morning as we speak they are in the conservatory messing about as the snow has just started yet again.

Hiya lav and how are you today? Glad your granddaughter is doing ok , as for the wig it will take a little more hair than what Jeeves can provide haha we have definite signs of Spring over here I've got daffodils out in the garden already , and some of the Tulips as well

Hiya pauly and how are you today then? hope all is well with you hope you have a great day

Hello tree girl how are things with you today? The bunnies may seem content, but it's like the scenario where the ducks are casually floating across the top of the water and paddling like mad underneath that's how it is with Jeeves one minute he is eating the next minute nothing ...it's all to do with him getting rid of his winter coat it must be a hormonal thing or something but nevertheless it doesn't stop me panicking about him. Did you manage to get any sleep? Have a great day

Hiya ppqp and how are you today then ? hope all is well in sunny Canada Wednesday today... as I recall cards afternoon is it not ? Have a good one

Big shout out to everyone else hope you're having a great day

      Mae all -

Writing in the morning today, before I get wrung out! Will be working until 7 tonight with this client...

Glad to hear the news from all -

Lav, I usually set up the dry ingreadients for the 2 granola batches, but just add the oil and maple syrup to one batch and cook it... I forgot what I was doing, and ended up making them both... good idea to freeze the other batch. You have a small zoo nearby? What's in it?

Pauly, yep homemade granola can be addictive!! I even have some every so often, though i generally don't do grains... how is your weather there, still chilly?

Mick, I assume that I am Google now, lol. Hubs is doing better and I am pretty much done with the nasties as well. Tell Jeeves to look at the calendar...waaaaay to early to start shedding! The lights are awesome - the whole set up is, congrats!!

PPQ, yep that was a pretty concise post, especially from me! Working in the evening hours with this client is really tough - last night I came home, fed the dog, rushed around and made dinner, cleaned up, and went to bed. My husband thinks I am not a great conversationalist!

Det - I ditto Lav, congrats on following your dream, and best of luck - these things can take time, but so worth it.

Hello to Sam and all others...

Wishing all a great hump day...

        Hidy Ho ABeroooooos!

oh my, in happy-crazy mode here. as of today I've booked 17 commercial photoshoots I'll be doing by Wed of next week. holy snot batman! yay!

i still can't post Like/Thanks notes so please everyone know I like and thank you for your posts!

lots of great foodie talk I'm happy to see. I'm doing puff pastry spinach/feta thingies tonight... a bit naughty and healthy at once.
since I'll be insanely busy now I'm going to get in an extra Refuge meeting tomorrow night. Last night I did a really fun artistic photoshoot from the
top of the Rio Casino (52 stories high) and got some amazing shots I'll share soon. I did however have some annoying booze cravings as there is a huge
bar up there and for some reason I found that internal dialogue firing back up. bastard! so glad I made it through, so just need to bolster my strength.

better charge camera gear, pack for tomorrow's shoots and start cleaning spinache!

        be well loves

          Re: 9th Feb

          Good evening everyone,

Had a little sun this afternoon but now it’s raining, figures!
So my granddaughter went back to school this morning while my daughter came down with the same virus. She had to stay home from work so she doesn’t pass it on to to her patients. Then the school called & told her to come pick up granddaughter because she suddenly has pink eye - LOL. The school nurse sent 57 kids home today with pink eye. When it rains it pours I guess. I’m not sure what this is going to do with our plans, will have to wait & see. After a couple doses of antibiotic eye drops pink eye clears up quickly.
I made a pot of vegetable beef soup & baked a loaf of Italian bread & also got my hair cut!!!

Hey PQ, how did the chicken stir fry turn out, yum!!

Mick, I wonder if the shedding is a side effect of the meds Jeeves has been getting. You never really know.
My bigger dogs used to shed at the weirdest times of the year. I hope you don’t get hit with another big storm, ugh!

Cyn, Working long days is exhausting. Don’t kill yourself trying to make everyone happy.
This is the zoo in MD, 5 miles away from my house. Small but cute! Family Zoo in Maryland | Plumpton Park Zoo | (41) 658-685

Det, wow you have some super work lined up - good for you!
Don’t let the proximity of the bars get to you. You will learn to raise your defense shields automatically. Until then, stay focused

We still haven’t heard from Sam? Hope everything is oK.
          Wishing everyone a nice night!

            Mae all -

Quick hello to all, I hope the day is/will be good for you.

Lav, sheesh, what a wild ride in your daughter's house! Maybe you'll end up being the nurse that will do the eye drops? Pink eye, ick. On a relative's farm one summer I remember my job was to to give the cows an aerosole dose of the antibiotic in their eyes as they were trying to eat -not sure I was very effective! Good luck with everything. PS, your zoo is just my size, lol.

Det, wow, great news on the shoots, congrats. Yep, like Lav says it's good to have the Star Wars Shields go up in those situations... good for you for going to Refuge. You are doing it all!

Mick, I hope Jeeves is OK today, and that the trains are running smoothly. Good luck with that weather headed your way.

            Hi Pauly, what's cooking?

PPQ - due to the new upgrade, you now have a banner across the top of your post that says "Thread Starter" - woo Hoo! ? Like Det, I can't Thank or Like for posts, so everyone, just know that I do .. both things, for y'all.

            Sam, hope everything's OK...

            Wishing all a happy day...

Mae everybody, I rarely clicked like or thanks anyway, NOT because I didn't like a post but it seemed the easy way out of o didn't feel like commenting haha I like the banner PQ, Lav hope everyone heals quickly, that's a huge spread of kids to be sent home, the school system here is annoying cuz they get pissed when you keep your kids home too much, why? If Lou's sick we're keeping him home and I wish other parents would do the same but then they get that email that threatens your child is gonna be considered "truant" I'm really irritated cuz this is grade school, I could see in jr/high school when kids really do skip school but not for these little ones, Kells bf had hernia surgery Monday and she's already sick of him whining, I said it's only been 2 days give him a break haha, Mick trains are coming along great! Got my allergy tests back and I'm allergic to Timothy hay but my guinea pigs need it so there's that, Det ignore those goddam cravings! That's why I basically refuse to go to any casinos, even to eat, they're bad news! Much love to all and wishes for a great BF Thursday!
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

Hiya tree girl how are you today then ? hope all is well .glad all the nasties are on the way out. yes I think Jeeves is going through the male menopause... he is shedding for for fun whereas Bonnie has still got her winter coat. Instead of rushing about when you get home ,spend a few hours teaching the dog how to make dinner haha hope you have a great day

Hello det how are you mate? hope all is well with you. talk about keeping busy 17 photoshoots ?wow... as for the leaning towards booze and cravings, it's how you deal with them that counts and I know you can bin them... we are all behind you. spinach things? You're not turning into Popeye are you ?haha take care friend

Hiya lav how are you today then ? hope all is well. sorry about your daughter getting the same bug and then Pink eye on gd ? Yes we're definitely getting another storm apparently it's going to be worse than the last one I had a look at that zoo some pretty smart animals and birds in there .speaking of which ,here are a couple of pictures I saw earlier colour with pictures of camouflaged owls in them really smart

Hiya pauly.... how are you today then question mark hope all is well with you wow that's a different one allergic to Timothy hay? are you allergic to normal hay as well? Hope things go ok for you today take care

I was standing on the edge of the local lake,I just about heard someone across from me shout " How do you get to the other side".
I shouted back " Your on the other side" .

Well now you can play hide and seek as a grown-up, all you need is a career in law enforcement and a search warrant. When you find the drug stash it’s your turn to hide.

In a small town in the US, there is a rather sizable factory that hires only married men. Concerned about this, a local woman called on the manager and asked him, "Why is it you limit your employees to married men? Is it because you think women are weak, dumb, cantankerous... or what?"

"Not at all, Ma'am," the manager replied. "It is because our employees are used to obeying orders, are accustomed to being shoved around, know how to keep their mouths shut and don't pout when I yell at them."

Donald Trump decides to go horse riding. Although he has had no previous experience he skillfully mounts the Horse and appears in complete command of the situation as the horse gallops along at a steady pace.

                  Melania admiringly watching her husband.
After a short time Trump becomes a little casual and he begins to lose his grip in the saddle, he panics and grabs the horse around the neck shouting for it to stop.
Melania starts to scream and shout for someone to help her husband has by this time slipped completely out of the saddle and is only saved from hitting the ground by the fact that he still has a grip on the horses neck.
decides that his best chance is to leap away from the horse, but his foot has become entangled in one of the stirrups. As the horse gallops along Donalds head is banging on the ground and he is slipping into unconsciousness.
Melania is now frantic and screams and screams for help!!!!
Hearing her screams, the Walmart Security Guard comes out of the store and unplugs the horse.

A shy Welsh village man, Elwyn, noticed that a beautiful girl had moved in next door. But Elwyn was shy so every time he saw her in the garden or in the street he couldn't think of what to say, so he would say 'good morning miss' or 'good afternoon miss' and hurry off about his business.

He talked to his friend in the bar. "Jones", he said, "a beautiful girl lives next door to me, but I don't know how to chat girls up, I've never done it before".

Jones said, "All you have to do is say to her 'good morning miss. I's a beautiful day isn't it? What beautiful flowers in your garden. That will get the conversation going".

Elwyn practiced this in front of a mirror for a few days. Then one night at the local pub he saw her. Elwyn stood near the bar trying to pluck up the courage to go and talk to her. He was nearly ready when the girl got up and went to the washroom.

This is it, thought Elwyn, its now or never. So he stood outside the washroom and waited. She was ever such a long time that poor Elwyn was starting to lose his nerve. He was just about to walk away when the girl came out. There she was, right in front of him looking beautiful.

Elwyn said, "Erm, erm g-good evening, miss".

                  She said, "Good evening".

                  He continued, "It's a b-beautiful day isn't it"?

"Yes", she said, "it is a splendid day".

Encouraged he went on. "I'm your neighbor, and I must tell you you have a lovely garden".

She smiled, "Thank you. I think so, too".

Stuck for something else to talk about, Elwyn stammered, "Erm, erm, err, ah, you've just had a sh.t, have you"?

Airline pilot to passengers: "Ladies and gentlemen, I have some good news and bad news.

The bad news is that we have a hijacker on board.

The good news is, he wants to go to the French Riviera".

The CIA loses track of one of its operatives, and so calls in one of their top spy hunters.

The CIA boss says, "All I can tell you is that his name is Murphy and that he's somewhere in Ireland. If you think you've located him, tell him the code words, 'The weather forecast calls for mist in the morning'. If it's really him, he'll answer, 'Yes and for mist at noon as well'".

So the spy hunter goes to Ireland and stops in a bar in one of the small towns. He says to the bartender, "Maybe you can help me. I'm looking for a guy named Murphy".

The bartender replies, "You're going to have to be more specific because, around here, there are lots of guys named Murphy. There's Murphy the Baker, who runs the pastry shop on the next block. There's Murphy the Banker, who's president of our local savings bank. There's Murphy the Blacksmith, who works at the stables. And, as a matter of fact, my name is Murphy, too".

Hearing this, the spy hunter figures he might as well try the code words on the bartender, so he says, "The weather forecast calls for mist in the morning".

The bartender replies, "Oh, you're looking for Murphy the Spy. You can't miss him. He lives right down the street, third on the left".

While making rounds, a doctor points out an X-ray to a group of medical students.

"As you can see," she says, "the patient limps because his left fibula and tibia are radically arched. Michael, what would you do in a case like this?"

"Well," ponders the student, "I suppose I'd limp too.

A newly discovered chapter in the Book of Genesis has provided the answer to, "Where do pets come from?"

Adam said, "Lord, when I was in the garden, you walked with me everyday. Now I do not see you anymore. I am lonesome here and it is difficult for me to remember how much you love me."

And God said, "No problem! I will create a companion for you that will be with you forever and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will love me even when you cannot see me. Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourself."

And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam. And it was a good animal. And God was pleased. And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and he wagged his tail. And Adam said, "Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and I cannot think of a name for this new animal."

And God said, "No problem! Because I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG."

And Dog lived with Adam and was a companion to him and loved him. And Adam was comforted. And God was pleased. And Dog was content and wagged his tail.

After a while, it came to pass that Adam's guardian angel came to the Lord and said, "Lord, Adam has become filled with pride. He struts and preens like a peacock and he believes he is worthy of adoration. Dog has indeed taught him that he is loved, but perhaps too well."

And the Lord said, "No problem! I will create for him a companion who will be with him forever and who will see him as he is. The companion will remind him of his limitations, so he will know that he is not always worthy of adoration."

And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam.

And Cat would not obey Adam.

And when Adam gazed into Cat's eyes, he was reminded that he was not the supreme being. And Adam learned humility.

And God was pleased. And Adam was greatly improved. And Dog was happy.

And the cat didn't give a sh.t one way or the other.

OK, just so we’re perfectly clear - I like & thank everyone for their posts today & everyday

Went & picked up our granddaughter today, she’s here with her bag of cold/flu meds & her eye drops for the pink eye, Lol
Nothing I can’t handle & she’s actually feeling pretty good now, just a lingering cough. Her mother has to try to get back to work tomorrow so I left her with a quart of soup I made yesterday & half the loaf of Italian bread I made. These are the times I am especially grateful. To have my sh*t together so I can actually be helpful to others!!!!

Cyn, has the rain stopped up your way too? Get ready for the cold air moving in, Brr!!
My tentative plans for a trip to the zoo tomorrow have been postponed, tomorrow’s high will only be 32. Not taking this kid out in that

Pauly, do you want my dairy free granola recipe? It’s simple, everyone enjoys it (you just have to control yourself) haha!!
I always kept a sick kid home from school until they were 24 hrs fever free & no one ever gave me any grief about my decision.

Mick, love those owl pics, I’ve seen some like that before! I actually have a magazine subscription to a monthly publication called Birds and Blooms! I get a lot of good ideas ofd what to plant to attract certain birds
We all need a hobby to keep us out of trouble, you’re doing wonders with yours!

Hello to PQ & busy man Det!

                    Have a nice night all!

MAE ALL...I pulled a "Cyn" yesterday and started work at 7am and home at 9pm. Didn't even attempt to post. LOL

Mick...fred starter here. LOL That surprised me when I saw it. Yup, yesterday was cards and I was prepared to send someone home if there wasn't a seat for me. Luckily I didn't have to. Big blue sure does look smart. The big news today is Via Rail has shut down across Canada. CNN has shut down in Eastern Canada. The Indigenous protester groups, who don't want a pipeline built, have set up protests on all railways.

TG...tried your schedule and honestly it just won't work for me. LOL You are one busy lady. Maybe if hubs fed the dog, made dinner and cleaned up you'd gladly talk to him. Just saying.

Det...what a great post to read...happy-crazy mode. 17 commercial photoshoots, well done. You've come a long way when it comes to giving into the booze cravings so just kick that internal dialogue in the ass and say "Take that!" Hope the shoots went good.

Lav...chicken stir fry was a hit. I'll be having that again. I also like & thank everyone for their posts everyday. If I had a cold/flu & pink eye I'd want to be at your house too. It is a good feeling knowing that you can actually be there for those who need you. Now I want soup and Italian bread!

Pauly...I scrolled through the thread and the yellow banner caught my eye. What was that? And it was on my post! Wonder if it'll appear again, we shall see. LOL I agree with your philosophy of keeping sick kids home, even as a single working parent. Can you use a different type of hay for your guinea pigs?

Sam...we're all thinking of you and hope you're not dealing with crummy weather.

Looking forward to a relaxing evening, hope you all have one as well....:smile:PPQP

Yup, there's the banner. Wait till Mick starts next weeks thread. LOL

                              Mae all -

Wow, Mick. Watch out, that storm already sounds nasty. Nice of you to harvest some grass for the bunnies!!! Good luck with the storm - hope you don't suffer too much.

Lav, wow, two grandkids - how often do they see each other? Italian bread, lol - I never thought about it! Hope you have a good night with the kids...

PPQ, glad you got the cards in this week - I hope that you are getting some rest this weekend...

Pauly, you crack me up, 200 lbs from eating granola!! Sorry to hear about the allergy to the hay... hope you find an alternative.

Det, hope your work overload is working out... hard sometimes when it seems like feast or famine. How did the spinach things turn out?

Hope everyone is OK - Sam, hope weather is not a problem for you.

Wishing all a good Sunday tomorrow...
