Notice of forum closure

Due to multiple reasons--a steep decline in subcription revenue, the outdated and expensive VBulletin software, and low usage, we will be closing the forum by the end of the month. Please look into a Facebook group or a similiar option to continue getting the support you need.

I will try to cancel the remaining subscriptions in PayPal, but you might want to double-check to make sure you have canceled it. We are unable to refund subscriptions, as they are considered donations that kept the forum running.

It's been a good run, but these forums are very outdated and expensive to keep up. Thanks to everyone who subscribed in the past, and especially to our current subscribers. I apologize for the inconvenience.

This is so sad. I wish more people had subscribed. I've made such good friends and received great support from the members here.

It's completely understandable though. It's not sustainable the way it is and we all new this was inevitable, if people didnt pay. Thank you for keeping it online as long as you did.

It's so sad to see this close. It was my last ditch attempt to get sober after all else had failed. 14 clean years later,I owe it to those that helped me ..so many names, so many messages. Through their kindness patience and help I own my own life again. To all those that helped...thank you and God bless each and every one of you.

To all who still need support, take it one day, one hour, or one minute at a time, whatever it takes. Cravings always pass, and it does get easier. You will feel better and be healthier once you stop drinking. If you fail, dust yourself off, get back up, learn what went wrong and fix it, then continue with your journey. Celebrate little successes and all milestones. I am much happier now that I don't drink alcohol. <3

Sorry to see the forum ending but I guess everything has an expiration date. I found this forum in a desperate search on how to get my life back together over 17 years ago. I am most grateful for those who grabbed me by a wing & yanked me into the Newbies Nest. It was there that I found the courage to do what I had to do. I have made so many friends here over the years & I am grateful for each & every ine of them as well. Be well everyone, wishing the best for all!

I have been trying to send the Forum Manager a PM but have been unable to get it through.
Would it be possible to get a download of my posts? I have seen that capability on other sites, but haven’t been able to locate that here. Can you help with that? I’d like to keep those as a remembrance of effort it took to get, and stay, sober. I appreciate your help.
