Testy
Wow--this is getting testy!!!! I, too, am very decided where I stand, but I think it's great that everyone is so "into this" that everywhere you go you hear people talking about it. That is the way it is supposed to be!!!!!!! Let's not get carried away or pissed off at the other person--we all just want what is best for this country--we may not agree how to get there, but that is what we all want. Just calm down everyone--this is what this time is all about--listening, talking to other people, deciding. PEACE!!!!!

Nurse, I was not being testy at all. I enjoy a good political discussion, and further more, I believe that people can discuss the "issues" and the "candidates" in a civil manner. Sorry that you see a discussion as an argument, I simply do not. PEACE!!!!A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes~Cinderella

People want to say that Palin doesn't have experience. What experience does Obama have? Someone please name something Obama has done during his time as Senator, other than campaign for becoming President, name a signifigant piece of legislation, something?? One of his biggest accomplishments was his speech at the last Democratic Convention. I personally don't feel that makes someone competent to be Commander and Chief. In terms of Executive Experience she has more accomplishments under her belt than he does, and she running for VP not Commander and Chief. Obama is a wonderful speaker, but that doesn't make a leader. I have a problem when people have to say that Obama's VP pick makes up for his weakness. I want a VP candidate that compliments the Presidential candidate, not makes up for what he lacks.

Seriously, someone please tell me something that Obama has done as Senator that makes him qualified to be Commander and Chief other than the fact that he wants change. Heck we are all looking for change. Saying that you are going to bring change doesn't make you qualifed to be President. Obama has been an electric speaker, but talk is cheap. All politicians do that. What has he voted for, what legislation has he spearheaded that makes him qualified? What truly makes him different?

Here you go, Miso. I believe that both Obamas education and career make him very strongly qualified. Just curious......what makes McCain qualified?

I'll try to answer your question. I am assuming you are just asking about his qualifications as Commander IN Chief. Do we really know how someone will do in this position until he or she is actually there? No one really has the experience at that capacity. As far as history, those with little military experience (in my opinion) have been far more diplomatic and less likely to lead us to war. A president does not have the constitutional right to lead us to war....Congress does. But as we have seen in the past eight year, our Constitution has been turned to complete shit. And since Obama taught Constitutional Law, I feel this makes him far more qualified to at least abide by what the Constitution actually states.Goal 1: Today
Goal 2: Tomorrow

Oh, and of course I speak of my personal opinion, but I feel that the Commander in Chief portion of the job SHOULD be the smallest position. If we had a strong Chief Diplomat, our situation would be much different than the current situation. The other 5 roles aren't that bad either.Goal 1: Today
Goal 2: Tomorrow

Miso, I am confused. You asked what Obama has done and Kate posted something. What difference does it make if it was cut and pasted? Nobody is going to know by heart what he has voted for or against to write it in their own words. I found it rather informative.I'm really easy to get along with once people learn to worship me
