Nancy, that is a real compliment! I have many great friends that are active or retired Marines.

Cindi, yes Dx and I could be the gunshop husband/wife team in Tremors! OMG that's funny.

I was ready for Y2K in the 90's. now I'm ready for Y3K bring it on! wolverines!!!! hahahahaha.

I dont' currently have health insurance so being a DIY guy comes in handy.
anyone want a discount on an organ transplant? I'm reading up on it and making room in the garage for an operating room. Free garlic bread in the waiting room.

        hahahahaaaa

        ok, I'm slightly nutso

no sign of infection so far. I've lived through some very badly infected wounds in my life so I know what to look for.

                WOW - pretty cool!

So, are there any sewing needles in the house? You can use those too, you just have to sterilize them first. And they will be much smaller so you can make a smaller stich.

But sheesh! I guess health care really does suck in America if we are reduced to sewing our own selves up!

I thought I was the only one to try this... I did two on my left hand middle finger once.
I have discovered the electricians tape is stretchy enough under tension , and holds well
enough against itself to hold the two sides of the cut together. [ cut to the bone, right hand
index finger ] trick is to not remove it for three days. got to make sure it is clean before you
                    tape it.

Must be a little intense, I guess... must be mars in scorpio.

right handed. or at least used to be.

so trying to poke that needle into a nasty would with my left hand wasn't very much fun.

                            myself included!

I'm a turkey stuffed with garlic

I really considered using a sewing needle but what to use for thread that wouldn't be a microbe breeding factory? just one of life's little challenges.

I tried to remove my finger with a hand saw years ago. I used super gule, napkin and black elec. tape. Worked well, healed fine, finished the days work!
Finger tingles when its cold, but most of the other injurys do the same!
