Evie, hey I have alot of catching up to do, will do so tonight. Stay strong for yourself because you have come so far! It sounds like a family funeral? Don't recap, I'll trace it myself at home. This beta version browser won't let me scroll through posts like I can at home. Day 4 for me today. I'm keeping some soda handy for a surprise craving, on the theory (unfounded but what the heck) that sugar has alot involved in alcohol cravings.

One2, enjoy NYC, keep lots of singles (American, lol, not worth crap) handy for tipping, cabbies, bag checkers, the like.

It's cold here too Ruby, not used to it! Hello to everybody! Are we supposed to change our avatars everyday like an advent calendar? :h

I read it; it was VERY good, but sort of wrenching.

Evie, I know it's hard. Please don't allow yourself to get into second-guessing; just change the channel. Move your mind into another direction; maybe writing a letter to your step-father?

            Hi Suzanna,
No we don't chg our avatars except when we feel like it. I keep mine a long time because I have a hard time finding new ones I really like (kinda like husbands!!) LOL. Anyway, it is just a matter of whim or no whim.
Evie, I'm sure no one is ignoring you....anyway, no one would do that on purpose. I hope you can stay strong thru your grief and the funeral. I, too, missed the posts about what happened. I have a hard time with death; it is hard for me to deal with as well. I'll send good energy your way, Evie.
Oney, Are you about ready to go to your friend's house?? Just about 12 hours and you'll be on your way to the airport....right?

                  Hi all!
O2M - GO GIRL!!!! HAVE SHITLOADS OF FUN BUT STAY AWAY FROM THE FIRST ONE!
Evie - stay strong, think of others who are having to face the same trial of grief. I got through my mother's funeral (she did not die of old age) AF, and by shit it was a very difficult thing
WIP, you are so wise, I just love your posts
Everyone else - thanks for this thread, am trying to make progress posting and getting to be a regular, but it is not easy, espeically with the time-zone thing, so please bear with me!

Well, it is supposed to be bloody summer here, but Rain, rain, rain bloody rain and I am getting SICK of it.
I need to be very vigilant with my feelings around the weather, as, and this is no exaggeration, I have picked up a drink over this sort of thing. NOT TODAY!

Hard to say what the plot is without giving up a central part of it, and I'm not sure where that part is actually revealed in the book! It involves a family, and the husband is a physician who is living with the aftermath of a difficult decision he made years before... and its impact on the whole family...

Oney, 50 one-dollar bills is plenty!

Make thick Wob figure out his OWN list... I know, that sounds crazy... these guys are deliberately thick, though, you know!

Kap, you are doing GREAT! And thanks for the kind words...

Oney HAVE FUN and BE SAFE! NY is actually a really friendly city... don't be scared of taking cabs and stuff, people will be good to you.

Oh, yeah, I think so, it's not a "thriller" but it is very engaging and I got really absorbed in it. Very well written!
