    Question for ladies

oh no, I meant to USE sunscreen!!
Another antiaging idea - don't get too thin. Eat foods with good fat in them.
I mean, I am happy with my weight loss, but being gaunt is terrible.

        Question for ladies

One of the things that I use on my face - especially the eye area (btw, I'm 43 but people think I'm in my 30's - not sure if it's the face regimen or just plain luck) is the same thing I use on my feet..... either baby oil or vaseline. No kidding. Cheap and easy. ...

... But only in the evening and at night when you have nowhere to go ... because you can't slather that stuff on and go out! .. LOL

          Question for ladies

I use Noxema in the morning... just plain old Noxema! I don't wash it off - I let it soak in. Then I apply a SPF 15 moisturizer. (I can't remember the name off hand.... it was about 20 bucks for a small bottle.)

At night I wash my face with Oil of Old Lady soap, scrub to exfoliate with a face cloth and then I use a thin layer of vaseline all over my face. It feels weird at first but you get use to it. It hydrates your skin like crazy. I have never seen my skin look more radiant and healthy.

When this stops working for me, I am getting botox.

            Question for ladies

I also bought some bio-oil a few months ago. It works great at hydrating your skin but all of the other promises it claims to work well for - well I didn't see any difference at all. Even after using it for the recommended amount of time for the drastic change of 3 months. I believe baby oil would have worked just as well for a fraction of the cost!

              Question for ladies

              AFM and 42cat,
If I did that, my face would just break out. Yours doesn't??? My skin is more oily.

                Question for ladies

Lila, nope! I thought for sure the Vaseline would plug my pores but it hasn't. It also claims it wont plug pores. I guess like anything else, we all react differently to different products.

As for the Noxzema in the morning; it really helps my skin from getting oily during the day. I use it as a base layer. I was a big time 'blotter'... I carried a stash of Kleenex with me every where. This has seemed to stop the problem.

                  Question for ladies

I've got a great one for you and you're going to LOL when you read this...I use an estrogen cream my dr prescribed for me. It's supposed to be used, um, er, vaginally for PMS. Well, I watched an Oprah show one day and this lady was older (I think she was 60) and used it on her face and had for years and years and looked so young so I tried it.

I'm 48 and people think I'm in my 30's. I've been using it for about a year. With my insurance it's free.

                    Question for ladies

That stuff sounds great, Becoming, and how clever to use it on your face! I also love baby oil around the eye area; there is nothing better for taking off waterproof mascara without a lot of rubbing, and it definitely helps prevent wrinkles. I just bought some expensive Estee Lauder "lifting" cream for the eyes. I'll let you know what I think of it. I doubt it will do much, but it does have a beautiful texture. Their undereye concealer does have great coverage, and I need it with my dark circles.

That is very interesting...can you give me more info? I have never heard of anything like that - even for PMS, which I don't have. I am intrigued, however! Still, I am a fan of Retinoid. I am a fan of prescription stuff in general. There are so many fancy bottles and dubious claims. I look things up on the Paula Begouin website - you know Take This Book To The Cosmetic Counter with You.

                          Question for ladies

Visit a dermatologist and get a prescription a Retinol cream. I'm 44 and have been using this under my eyes in the areas that get crepe-y and thin with age. The retinol has definitely improved the appearance. It's cummulative so it takes some time but there is nothing else that works on your collagen like Retinol or Retinoid creams. Now when I wear makeup, the powder and foundation doesn't look dried out in my fine lines. For all over face, I swear by Oil Of Olay Regenerist. Not too expensive and nice quality.

                              Hi BrownEye Girl - welcome!
I did not know you could use retinoid under your eyes. How close do you get to your eye? I thought the skin there was too thin and delicate.

                                Question for ladies

                                Retinol

I use a Retinol cream called Retrinal 0.05 from my Cosmetic Surgeon. I can use under my eyes with no problem or redness. It takes only a teeny bit and I use in the hollows under my eyes on each side of my nose.

Hey, does any one else a message under my name that "I'm banned for stealth attempts"? This is so frustrating! I've been trying to get the MWO tech folks to fix this and they can't seem to get it fixed. It shows up when I post. Does everyone else see it?
