Good morning troops!

And a great morning it is for me today. 9 months sober and feeling very proud and happy.
Yesterday I spoke to an addiction agency who are going to be taking on volunteers to train. They deal with alcohol, drugs and gambling and offer a full support service for all the addictions. I had a lovely chat with the manager there and she is going to send me an application form. I cannot tell you how excited I feel, this is something I can really see myself doing. I really hope that it all comes together. I feel as if I have reached a turning point in my life....
I know I would NEVER have got here if it wasnt for this place. I am soooooo very grateful to all of you...thank you :l:l:l

Morning all!!

Hey Starts - that sounds fantastic!! I'm so pleased for you! You are so upbeat and determined, it's a bit contageous. :goodjob: on the 9 months - I've done a lot of slip & slid action since coming here, but still plodding on. So hope I don't do a smacker on my arse again. :H

Feeling very "bah humbug" today - such a bad nights sleep. Made cupcakes yesterday with the girls for my youngest to take into school today (birthday). I cleaned the kitchen floor about 8 times and I'm still picking up 100s & 1000s on my feet! Aaargh!

Also, I've got such a terrible feeling that somethings going to happen - you know butterflies in stomach & hot flashes. I've phoned everyone I can think of over the last couple of weeks and everyones fine - feeling just won't go. Ho hum - it'll sort itself out I'm sure.

Drinking wine is supposed to give you terrible man boobs, so I'm hoping they get better rather than worse, though I do seem to be putting on alot of weight recently. I think it's the not working and being a lazy git!

If there was any beach I could go swimming in the uk right now, I would. We have very few beaches that are nice enough to swim in and the weather is always crap!
