Hen... what are the houses like up there? Are they all open plan like the ones down here?

The homes here in IL are more british in their layout..although the kitchen and family rooms are combined. Every other room has it's own door (if ya get what I mean) Our previous homes,in other States have been completly open plan so I get the whole *cooking smell* thing. God forbid you cook any type of fish..you wake up for days with the lingering smell

Oh when I had my yoga class, teacher was saying in a rather ethereal voice how it is healthy to sweat, how we need to allow our bodies to sweat, lift your arms, let the air get to your groins...

The living room, dining room, kitchen and hallways are all open plan in this one. The bedrooms and bathrooms are the only ones with their own doors. It smells like a balti house in here now!

I think this whole open plan idea is a passing fashion bit like the whole minimalist thing.
