Angel, I agree that we should not be ashamed, however, I believe it is prudent to be careful, you never know who is watching. These days, more and more companies are using the chat rooms, and the like to look up perspective employees. Believe me I know somebody that is employed to do that. I would feel very uncomfortable posting my picture here and as well I believe it would be unfair to my loved ones. As for posting childrens pictures, I think it could potentially be very dangerous. That is my tuppence worth and I guess I feel pretty strongly about it, so I wont be posting.Angelcakes;739658 wrote: Oh Geez, I do feel vulnerable!!!
I don't think any of us should be ashamed of who we are...having a problem with alcohol doesn't make you a bad person (although I do feel like it at times)
There's many many people out there with similar issues who never try to deal with them.
Nice to see you all.

Well, there I am dumpin' the vodka. And it's a several pounds heavier "me" to boot. My dogs are definitely cuter. Certainly the puppy but even the old beagle.
I really don't mind sharing my picture because in the end, the only person who didn't know I was an alkie was me.
Shirazgirl, what a fun thread! Wish I had logged on earlier!

Here's me....
I love putting faces with names and I've even had the pleasure of meeting a couple of my friends here-that is a wonderful experience! Love to All, Krigs"People usually fail when they are on the verge of success. So give as much care to the end as to the beginning." Lao-Tzu

Scrubbly I wish I had beat that bottle with a sledge hammer after I was done pouring out the booze!
(guess I have some anger management issues when it comes to AL LOL!)
Maslow - I'm also in IL. :yougo: for good old fashioned Midwest USA Sobriety, eh? I liked your post about keeping your family your high priority. I think if you make sobriety your absolutely daily #1 priority, then all else will work itself out favorably. Not that the journey is always smooth, but sober we can pick a path to a better place.
