I had an English Bulldog when I was much younger and I'm on the rescue waiting list for one. The brilliant news is they are very rarely badly treated and are re-homed due to divorce or a death in the family.

Problem with bullies is peeps tend to think they're fighting dogs. The only ones I've ever known would lick you to death

We do have to jump up and down a lot when the govt tries to ban them, usually after a pitbull attack (which we've had 6 over the last week).

People who come to the place who don't know bullies are usually terrified of mine but after a few minutes the bullies are sitting on their knees, and the guest leave with a changed mind.
