I am in so much trouble!

I am used to Aussie mother's day now which is different to UK mother's day.

Usually, a week before English Mother's day I have a note in my diary to send cards to mum and mum-in-law but I totally FORGOT this year!

And to make it worse, my rule is "Dad's birthday is near mother's day and mum's birthday is near father's day." I remembered Dad's birthday even though he passed away in 2003. I even called my mum to see show she was doing. (I always call on Dad's birthday and their wedding anniversary.)

Looks like I will have to make some Happy Mother's Day calls tomorrow.

Happy Mothers Day

Its true name is Mothering Sunday and I suppose it could be looked at as caring and nurturing, in which case I am sure that the furry and feathered children would if they could, buy cards and presents. And as such, the planet is our mother too, so a day for reflection perhaps away from the commercialisation which is so endemic in almost everything these days.
