    Johnny,
    Everyday is a fight in the beginning then it just becomes a way of life. You are doing swell. I was a bit down because no one in my family seemed to really care that I had hit the one year mark. Everyone here on the other hand know that struggle. It is so very hard at times. Keep making it happen. Come celebrate with us when you hit the 1 yr mark for sure.

          Hey guys,

          Thanks for all the friendly responses :-)

          Meanwhile another week has gone by... things at work slowly grinding to a hold for the weekend. It must have been the same time about last week when I posted my update.

          Tonight I'm going out with friends to a restaurant where there is no alcoholic drinks. Yes, a proper restaurant though, not a fast food shop I love going out to safe places like that , with company of friends who don't drink and not having to worry about the temptation.

          That must have been one of the most important progresses in my non AL life. Building friendships with people who don't drink.

          there's an old saying and it goes like this: "He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm"

          Love you all. Just feel glad that I can come onto the forum now and post my update without feeling the bondage of yet another addiction... the internet

          I hope I will manage to a little more frequently then once a week though, but we'll see how it goes

                        That will do very nicely, seeing how I've just realised my daughter is 24 (when did that happen) in a couple of weeks.
                        Now I must nanna nap. You know how important a nanna is to the Army.
