    Keep yappin Saph.

Don't forget, not only is our brain telling us it want's the booze back in our system to feel 'normal' again, it sounds like you're doing it tough on topa. It's part of the healing process. Our brain's/bodies take time to re-wire themselves and turn back around to al free mode. The chemical shenanigan's are a pain in the a#@#$.

The Fortnightly Chook Chronicles - Late Edition

The fortnightly Chook Chronicles follow the girls' progress at 28 and 29 weeks of age. Both have been remarkable in that they decided against any RDO's and produced eggs 14/14 days. They have negotiated (through Wilson) to have these accumulated RDO's factored into their Retirement Plan. Having previously been unaffected by the storm, they also valiantly waded through the flood. I am very pleased to report that the Chookhouse Penthouse remains solid; their upstairs apartment remains dry and snug and even their patio and gated gardens did not suffer the ravages of an unprecedented downpour.

With extended daylight hours, they now totally free-range from 7.30am to 6.30pm when they return to a late supper of Red Hen Layer Mix before ascending the stairs to their boudoir

Bridge's egg weights have stabilised and the Bumnuts Graph shows a variance of only 3g (63g-67g) with a fortnightly laying weight average of 64.9g per egg.

Missy continues to have - erm - "moments". For some inexplicable reason she produced a very low 51g egg on Laying Day 50. The low weight was not as relevant as the fact that the "egg" was actually shaped more like a bean. Nothing ovoid about it. I can only attribute this phenomenon to a slight lack of concentration (or bum-to-brain fart as it's known among Poultry Keepers). She soon recovered her focus however the low weight reduced her overall average to 69.9g, still a most respectable weight.

        Total eggs to date: B = 54, M = 50

So ... does it get any better than this?

        You bet!!

Arvo all the lovely Undies and International Guests,

Saffy - how are you doing now?

The weather's still ordinary here and not very conducive to big bursts of outdoor activity although I did get about an hour's mow in on the higher ground. Spent the arvo ordering some fiction through Amazon. How is it that even with postage from the US, I can buy books at least 50% cheaper? I want to support Oz business but when I can get a novel for $10 as opposed to $30 - there's not much of a decision to be made now, is there. Rhetorical question.

Haven't read your link yet Reggie, but what worries me about iBooks is ... what about the bloody printing industry? A town near me used to have a HUGE printer of books, employing hundreds(?) of people ...

Fear not Reginald, books in print will never ever die. Remember when home videos came out first, that was it they said, cinema is dead. Didnt happen. Besides which for all the modern technology, having a dog eared paperback to hand anywhere, anytime has to be one of lifes great pleasures.

I have had the best bloody day....drove out West from here....found the most amazing little local produce markets, and weeny little shops with fabulous stuff in them. Totally unplanned. Bought some amazing organic seeds for Oxheart Tomatoes (not so easy to come by round here) and Cobaea scandens ....Happy happy girl...spent the rest of the arvo sowing madly into the greenhouse (newly erected).....see ....it doesn't take much to make a girl happy.
Buy of the day...South American chilli sauce....going on the side of the fresh steamed veges tonight....
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?
