They last forever, though.

We have a handheld blender like that. MIL gave it to us before eldest cub was born. It still works perfectly.

Ours isn't from Tesco, obviously, but the SA equivalent.

We get the packet cakes and icing, yes - there is one brand that is actaully not bad. But still not the same as the real McCoy.
