Meet Me At Dos Gatos
:H:H Someone asked me what items I would pack into an emergency bag in case of earthquake, flood etc and the first thing I said was tweezers.fennel;1004956 wrote: Don't pluck it, Nora! I want you to nurture and condition it daily! Maybe tie a very small bead at the bottom of it for decoration! When it finally falls off, we can frame it and hang it in the truck! :H
If Nora's gets long enough (10" overnight suggests fairly rapid growth) we can use it to tether the fainting goats and quokkas, or lash errant ones (like me) to the truck.
I like the idea of a " spinney" or "copse" of trees. My Mum referred to the noise her cats make throwing up as "glop, glop, glop," which I found onomatopaeic and delightful...also those invisible things that send cats leaping and tearing about wild-eyed and mad are known as "boggles" in our household.

Fantastic idea! With that kind of growth, we'll have ropes for days! :HMishmash;1005254 wrote:

Well may you laugh, Techie, but you do not fully appreciate the horror of waking up to a rogue 10" hair sprouting out of your formerly smooth alabaster-like chin and watch it waving in the morning breeze.techie;1005256 wrote: OMG :H:H:H:h Mish :h

onomatopoeia - Formation of words or names from sounds that resemble those associated with the word or action to be named, or that seem suggestive of its qualities.mama bear;1005265 wrote:
onomotopea (sp?)...that's a great word
I think "glop, glop, glop," for cats sicking up fits this definition well...:h Mish :h
