I am not going to drink today because I have to work today and I don't want to drink anymore.I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.
Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

I am not going to drink today because I don't want to disappoint my partner. It has been hard, today...my mom is in town visiting and asked me if I would join her for a drink with lunch...then with dinner. Earlier today she also wanted to run to the store to get a special kind of AL that they don't sell in her state. So, I have AL in my house. I know I can do it, not drink that is...but it is just sort of disconcerting that it is there. Sigh. I'll get through it. No AL for today!Comment

Hope and optimism. Now there is something I never felt in the later years of my drinking. And I LIKE hope and optimism! So I will not be drinking today - that way I can keep my hope and optimism alive!
