Hiya Tips and Mario. Happy Mrs A here as number 2 daughter arrived home 3 hours late but safely. She said it felt Tropical in Liverpool at minus 8 as she had been hanging about Torp in Norway at minus 20.

Up and about after 3 hours sleep as got so much to do.
So glad I do not drink

Morning all Army people who have already come and those still sleeping or whatever :H, Yay KTAB!! So glad it looks like you'll be able to make it home to your family. I THINK we are almost ready for Christmas-just a few more things to buy. LIKE BATTERIES for the toys! God, that would have been horrible the morning of the 25th if mum had forgotten those! Very white and cold out today but the snow has stopped-for the moment. I'll be checking in later but with the kids home (there is too much competition for the one computer) and running around like a madwoman to get things done...grrr. But I think today will be calmer (I hope). expat xxx

Morning Folks!
Tired this morning, but I'll get a few hours kip before work. It's gonna be a busy couple of days as we're down to half the manpower that we usually have, but it sure makes the shift pass quickly.
I saw something yesterday that says it's going to be the coldest December on record with an average temp of -2 point something Celcius. I'm getting used to it npw. I've been putting on my layers and it's not too bad inspite of the fact that it's been -7 every night inside the part of the warehouse that I work in. They gave us a heater yesterday. What a laugh! It heats up a space three inches in front of it and they put it about two feet from an open door twenty feet wide and twenty five feet high. At least the wind has stayed away.
Anyhoo, I hope you ALL have a great Christmas-Eve-Eve.

The questions been asked but there's not much they can do about it. One guy got sent home for refusing to work in it. He offered to work in the mail room but they didn't need him there. I think they have a duty to make you as comfortable as possible, but if you're not happy then you can refuse and they can't do anything about it...except make things hard for you when you get back. They have a high turnover of staff. There's too many people willing to do anything for a job to start rocking the boat, but like I said, I'm not really feeling it anymore.
