Oh, that was a good cake! That was one of my hobbies way back. I made birthday cakes and wedding cakes. Don't have the time or patience anymore. Grateful, I am so sorry those antibiotics aren't working for you and I pray the specialist finds what it is and can make you all better, like NOW! I hope you enjoy Addison's birthday party. Next week is my Mother's and Paul's birthday and I'm going to make a red velvet cake for the first time. His Mother had this recipe that has a 100 ingredients ull and I'm sure mine won't be near as good, but I'll do my best. Nora, how are things going for you? Bird, I am so sorry about your friend. That is so sad. I didn't know you used to live in Colorado! My daughter wants to go there on her honeymoon in May. Where is the prettiest, snowiest (Roger's word) place to go? Hill, I hope you catch alot of fish. I wouldn't be on the water catching gold in this cold! Ruby, your snow pics are so beautiful! PLEASE don't drive anywhere until it all melts. We want you and your stinky car in one piece! :H:H Nora, I want some snow, too. We rarely ever see it here in the south. I sent a pm to newme, but she didn't respond. I don't know what happened there. Roger, I've been praying that both you and Paul would get alot of business coming in. His is picking up, I hope yours will, too. I know how you love to work hard! :H:H Sunshine, I never learned how to "do nothing", but today may be a first. I am so exhausted and hurt all over. Paul is out splitting wood and I may work on putting pictures into albums! I've got 5 big boxes of pictures! BTW, does anyone know how to unstick pics that are stuck together? Vick, use a hair dryer to get them apart. Then lay them down face up but don't wipe off the front if they're wet. Hope it works. Your 'card' and cake are both wonderful! My MIL makes Red Velvet cake. I have some great recipes, too. She always puts toothpicks in them, tho I've told her if the layers are slipping to stick straws thru them then cut them level with the top. Less chance of someone biting into one of them! She makes great chicken and dumplings, but we all call them Maw Maw's Dangerous Dumplins', cause she ALWAYS leaves little bones in them. And this all started way before she got old! :H
RC, next time you come to see me I'll make you a fresh apple cake. Bet you'd love it, full of good, healthy stuff.
I actually like to grocery shop, but I always run in to people I know who want to stop and chat. 5 people in the grocery store who extended my trip by at least half an hour. One of my renters and her husband work there, and she had to come and hug me, talk a while. Then her husband came in with their new baby, and he tracked me down, so I cooed and talked to the baby. It IS precious, and they obviously think so much of me. They're good renters too, so I make a point of treating them special. Now the process of putting up all this food, but I did get some great deals, especially on meat mark downs and BOGO's. Should be set except for fresh vegs for a month or more. Making Coq 'au Vin Sunday for supper, and will use the wine ONLY for the dish!
Hope everyone is having a good day, checks in soon. I'm getting over my trip to grocery and cleaners, Hubs has 2 weeks of shirts ready, took in son's suit and dress shirt (which he's ex NEVER laundered, so will prob have to buy a new one). All in all, a productive day. Now to get through family hour with the in-laws.

Hey everyone! I am home but am off to bed - Hubs was off today and we have been chatting and catching up SO long since I have seen him to talk to!! Lovely to see you all here - Ruby - I was inside receiving books - nowhere near as bad you you thought -LOL - had 144 boxes before UPS came!! So I spent pretty much the whole shift in the back - really good exercise!!!! Hi to Fennel - and also hi to all my regular family - I work early shift tomorrow so won't be around apart from early morning! GOOD MORNING EVERYONE - RISE AND SHINE It is a lovely (cold, dark) Saturday morning (at 5.20) and you should all be up ('cos if I'm up, you should be too). Furry alarm clock is in fine fettle as you can see! I have to go to work anyway so that is fine.
