Morning fellow journeyers. Sometimes the time difference is a real inconvenience! I wake up to a whole lot of NH Journey activities which have been going on while I'm cutting Zs and feel a bit bereft. It's taken ages to catch up on all you've been up to as well (not that I mind. I love hearing what you've been up to).
Ruby, you live in a wonderland and I really love looking at your pictures.
I'm gradually settling into this thread and will feel more confident about putting in my own two cents worth soon.
Vicky, I haven't read your thread for Trucker yet, so I'm off to do that now.

Howdy all ! Spent the whole day at a Wrestleing Tourney......He still can't compete (Stephen)..Bad Shoulder. But his couches have him keeping score....and such ! So he has spent 2 days busting his ass ! Ha! He loves to wrestle.....plus his buddies are kicking ass ! Ha! Made it home to night.....watching football ! How about the Seahawks ! Oh well tomorrow my Raven will play at 1:00. Keep Jammin" man ! ha! Tony

I feel SO left out when I have to work and you are all posting !!!!:upset: And no-one even missed me !!! Well, it is 11.00 and I am home from work. It is SO cold out. 13 degrees before the wind chill!! Took the dogs out and got them to hurry up! Swannie I agree - you need to take the day off and rest! We will clean up after ourselves tomorrow! I hope to be able to chat with you tomorrow too.

Thor - lovely to see you settling in so well! you too Mish - Swannie complained about the time difference - said that when she is awake we are all asleep! Well, part of it anyway! I am looking forward to my day off tomorrow. Got all sorts of odds and ends planned to do! I must sort out the top freezer and take stuff down to the big freezer in the cellar!

Ben has found out that if he drags something - anything - into the computer room, that I will get up from the computer, take it away from him and give him his own toy - so every time I turn round, he has something else - my clog, my boot, a brown bag, the other clog/boot, a piece of paper from the low table in the lounge - anything!! I patiently take it away - and give him HIS toy! Turn back to the computer - off he goes, and brings something else in!! It is funny as he never chews anything when i am gone. Dear old lad!

Guess I will have a peruse around the site then get to bed. see everyone in the morning.

Hi all
Well all kinds of tournaments going on huh? Spent yesterday at academic bowl tournament then all went out to eat and home and very tired. Its not snowing here yet Rubes maybe tonight a bit. We heat with kerosene so it doesnt matter if the power goes out. Place is a disaster this a.m. gotta clean and make rice and lentils enough to get through the week. Sun that is sweet about Ben. Going to sit in front of heater...b

Good Morning all - Slept in today! (Apart from going through the Ben stuff at 5.00) It is so cold out - 16 degrees before wind chill - cold!! Yes Hill and Bird - day off - yeah! I am going out to do poop patrol soon - my turn - the fun of having a fenced in garden and two dogs! Hasn't been done in ages. I agree Hill - all kinds of tournies going on - Bird - enjoy today in front of the heater!! Hill - hope yours son's team win!!

Ben loves you and is so lucky that you are his Mommy!!
Just woke up, sipping coffee and then off to the office. We are not open today, so I am wearing sweats and cleaning and organixing. My assistant is meeting me. And, no, Sunnibunni, I dont get paid for all ther extra...I am salaried. But the disorganization and piles of files are ridiculous.
Bird..do you make rice and lentils every Sunday? I celaned all day yesterday, so have fun today!
I had my first drinking dream...others have posted about it, but I actually had one. I was chugging beer after beer....weird.

goodmorning from sunny florida where the chill is in the air ... well sitting here having my second cup of strong coffee trying to get doing something ... hell even my cat sammie slept in this morning .. well doing my normal routine checking email for add updates and well looks like everyone is doing their best ..

Thank you Jan and T for your love - I felt every little bit of it !! Sorry I was whingeing! Now - i just talked to our dear swan - and she is SICK. she has your cold Jan! She could hardly talk and sounds/feels terrible - so i think we need to start cleaning up after ourselves! She needs to take a break from all the cleaning!! She did ask if she gets sick pay and I told her yes. Oh dear - all I wanted to do was go there and mother her!! She probably got it from you Jan! Anyway, she is resting comfortably and I said that we would all send her healing vibes. Dear Swannie - feel better soon!

Jan - I roared reading that about the poop !!!!! Oh My Gosh! Yes, I do think they will get the message! How funny - would you like me to send you some more poop in case they didn't??

Hi everyone. Not dead, just freezing slowly. Hey, it makes my wrinkles look smaller! :H
Mish, you are a delight, and I DO understand the time dif. Don't ever feel like you're talking to yourself, because we love your posts. And YES! I love this place, cannot imagine living anywhere without the outdoors all around me. I knew the minute I saw the property, BEFORE I saw the stream, I wanted that place. It's been a real struggle, (thank you Hubs) to afford it, but it's worth it.
MB, a new job is always hard. I know I felt like crying a day or two into my last ones, but you will streamline everything and make it easier. Promise. And when payday comes around, you'll feel even better. So nice to be productive.
Tony, you big bruisers don't know your own strength!! I hope your son has your good heart and funny personality.
Nora, honey. Staying here with us, when you can, gives you a good place to vent all the frustrations you are having right now. Our collective shoulders are big enough, and I know I don't mind listening. Things will improve, love.
Birdy, are you cold yet? You may get snow and ice, you know. Just keep warm and be safe. I think you live on a dirt road, and it's ever so much easier to drive on in snow and ice that pavement.

Sunni, OH Sunni!!!! You are a major player here, a real backbone for this site. I know I'm guilty of neglecting people in my rush, but don't you ever feel you are not SO important here. I'm amazed at what you do. And your reports of Ben just CRACK me up, because I feel like you have found each other, and his own, original personality is finally coming out and being appreciated.
T, get off your butt, put Sammie down, and sit down at the drawing board. There are SO many things to plan and do, and it will come.
Getting ready for the weather that is totally taking over the news, weather channel, here. Yawn. Been there, done that. I have 2 pots of veg soup brewing, plenty of candles and oil lamps, wood on the porch for a fire, and I'm SURE not going to drive, so I'm ready. Will feed the big dogs a huge meal outdoors, then a bit later bring them in. They both need grooming (OH, they'll love that!) and I need to be sure all my washing, dishes are done, in case we do lose power for a while.
