      Attention all CANUCKS !!

      Just saying 'ello to my Newfoundland friends!! In Quebec we have our own troubadours to sing along to. I am from Ontario too and am loving this Quebec culture. Promotes a little too much of why we're here. Since I moved here my Tippling has increased tenfold. Very much the party atmosphere here amongst our friends. We ride a Harley and the gang that we ride with are hard partyers. I have really slowed down my partying since joining MWO especially since we witnessed a helmetless rider hitting a deer at 120 K per hour last summer. Sure sobers one up to reality. That happened in the Black Hills of South Dakota at a huge motorcycle rally.

        Attention all CANUCKS !!

        We biked through the Dakotas in '87. Loved that we didn't have to wear our helmets in some states. What a horrible scene for you to witness.

              Bridge - it was started just over a month ago and frankly I'm a little disappointed at the responses. I know there are a lot more Canadians on the forum. I guess they just aren't here often enough and don't see the thread when it's on the first page of General.
              BTW - thought you'd be off by now. I saw on the Undies thread that you're going to spend some time with your folks. Have a safe journey and wishing all the best for your Mom's recovery. And if you don't think she's getting proper care at the hospital, kick some serious ass. Being a nurse, you know what they should be doing for her. Keep us posted...

                I did see the dating love and was a bit disappointed for you all ??? I think this would be a really worthwhile regular drop in for you.

                I have just finished packing the boy and I. and organising animals et al. Going in to get a good night's sleep, leave in morning.

                        Hi Mohun. Don't believe I've seen you here before even tho' you joined way before me. As I've posted before, Ontario girl here.

                        Many years ago I worked just north of Vancouver at a ski resort called Grouse Mountain. Gorgeous country.

                        And I will never forget the trip we took as a family back in the summer of 1969 from Ontario all the way to Vancouver Island by car. I never really appreciated Canada til we took that trip. I have never, to this day, forgotten the fantastic scenery of western Ontario, the unbelievable flatness of the prairies where, at night, you could see the lights of a town 50 miles and more before you actually got to it. The all-encompassing awe of the majestic Rocky Mountains, the richness of the Fraser Valley and what it felt like to dip my foot in the ocean for the first time when we finally hit the west coast. CANADA ROCKS!!!


                        Stand up Canucks and wave that flag. Be proud of our country. It is, simply put - spectacular.

                          Hi sorry very late to post here. I just saw the thread today.

                          Yes a Proud Canadian living in BC, just west of the Rockies. Beautiful. Hiking, trail running, skiing, snowshoeing. Our great outdoors makes for a perfect playground indeed.

                          Love the 4 seasons! So much to do in each of them.

                          Love all of Canada lived in two other provinces and have been to every province except Newfoundland (had two roomies from there when I was in University). Must make a visit there one day!

                            :hI am a proud Canadian!:h

                            Spent my first 48 years as a BC girl and have just, last year, moved to Sounthern Ontario. My husband was offered a job that we could not refuse, so I quit my job, we said goodbye to all our family (including 2 sons) and friends and packed up. It has been a year almost to the day that we moved. I still feel sad from time to time, especially missing my boys and the busyness of my life in BC. But I must say that Ontario is beautiful......cold, cold , cold, but beautiful.

                            We plan on hitting the Maritimes this summer. We have a whole other part of the country to explore and that my friends is very exicting.

                              Attention all CANUCKS !!

                              We also have a Harley, but are thinking of selling it. It is not quite like BC, where you can insure it for only 6 months and ride it in warmth (ok sometimes wet warmth ) but for the whole 6 months . We didn't use it enough last year to warrant paying for a years worth of insurance. Something we are thinking of anyways.

                                I'll be skiing there in a weeks time at Silver City. Just leaving for the airport now.
