If you want to see some very silly British comedy, have a look on You Tube for "The Fast Show - That's Amazing". There are a number of different sketches but basically poms taking the mick out of Australians.

Big hugs right back at ya, Reggie. How I enjoyed this article!!! And Russ Coight's camp chair, and the quoits theme (thanks Tawn). Been flat out like a lizard drinking here, and haven't had the 'puter much on at all. Finally caught up today on what's been happening with the undies and I'm just so happy to be an Aussie.Reggie;1058564 wrote: Gee.... quite around these parts pardoners..ya could hear a mouse fart... Techie just follow ya "DATE" it will lead you directly to ya "QUOiT" you obviously haven't heard the expression "quoitus interuptous" the ancient Greeks used it quite frequently so I am told.
Any way sorry undies for my extremely ghostly presence around town ...things are ramping up on the domestic front ..but nothing major, and nothing a good game of quoit's couldn't resolve.

Speaking of all Australian males I was surfing the net with my beautiful daughter looking up snake things for a project she is doing at school and came across this ..I had to partake in some quick key board action as I was reading... Regina asked me why I had that funny terror look???? and had squeezed my legs together suddenly?. I explained that ...it was nothing... Daddy needs to go to the toilet. Any way I reckon Daryl...."Zutty" to his mates ....is a legend around the Asp community not to mention all time gutsy bloke . He rang his mum to say goodbye..what a Aussie bloke!!! ..maybe Aspy has heard of this in the Asp community? Who Knows.

Any way big huggs to all persons that populate this thread.

 Have a wonderful evening

Bridge, best wishes to your mum. Mine has surgery for bladder cancer on Wednesday, a day after Beag's op.
Beagle, I was hoping to get in and visit you (which hospital? SJG Subi?), but not sure if I can, now. I'll give you a ring tomoz, anyway.
Techie, I know you're a 'C' and I mean that in the nicest possible way...in reference to Beagle's questionnaire, that is. Remember, I saw the pic, and you'd have to be a 'C.'
Raggsy, I'm so jealous. Not of the flight, not of the skiing, but of meeting up with Techie. Give him a big hug from me!
Tawn, your Sunday paper reading on the soggy kikuyu sounds blissful, with the chooks and the garden around you.
Missy, hope all goes well with you and yours. Mr MB sounds too good to be true...lucky girl!
On the note of hot dates...closest I've come to one is the curry and hot chilly, but that's the way I like it!
 Aspy, how're you doing?
Mr G, you're a star. A real example for us and for your groups. I take my hat off to you.
Well, green waste pick up this week...battled and won with the bouganvillia yesterday and now to put all the bits on the verge.
Love to you all...:h:h:h:h Mish :h

Ah well you see Reggie ... that's why those big pigs have got two nostrils. They can sort the wee from the good stuff. In one snort! How good is that?

I just made that up but ...

I'm glad you went there. It's a TOP place!

Lovely weekend for me! But tired and going to bed! Haaaahhhh! Feeling physically tired after a long bush tramp up a mountain today, but feeling very (quietly!) proud that I dealt with it much better then the other people we went with who were younger. I had been warning people that they would have to take account of our advanced years and be prepared to slow down for me. As it happened I was the second to reach the summit! Slower to come down, but felt very fresh at the end of it. Yee-haa!!!! Mwa right back at you, Reggie. My advice is forget the plasma...they chew through the electricity. 3D seems to be the way to go now, though somewhat pricey still...I'd wait till they come down before buying 3D. LCD is good, though. You just missed the January sales where they were practically giving them away. Still not sure what blue ray is...too embarrassed to ask. Not into X Box or PS games so can't comment on those, either.Reggie;1059135 wrote: Sorry in a rather Chatty mood... What would you do??? ..at the moment big pressure to by Plasma smazma TV and X box thinngies and blue ray whatevers... I am like my parents a tragic radio listener .. ABC News radio and Radio National with independant music station 3RRR, 3PBS.. No greater pleasure for me than a early bedage with radio enclosed under pillow while a gentle drift off to sleep I very rarely watch TV..I purchased a DSI for Regina thats about it...My question??? is it possible to resist the techno onslaught in 2011...
I, too, was a great radio listener when working in Security. Since then, out of touch with it.
I love Inspector Rex and The Darling Buds of May. Regina has great taste and sounds very well adjusted despite uncontrolled hysteria over wee-drinking sow. My ex-husband and I were appalled when the painted dogs at the zoo were released and started tearing into a sheep carcass only a few metres away from us. We were sure our four year old grandaughter would be scarred for life, but were strangely relieved when she found the grisly sight highly amusing. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing...we were just glad she hadn't been psychologically damaged on 'our watch.':h Mish :h

I think I can hear your little bird right now...very sweet singing. You should start letting him out a little more a bit at a time. Thanks for sharing.

 Rags,

Don't forget to declare the Vegemite. I have to declare my Marmite where-ever I go. And generally you get through Customs quicker if you declare something.

I, too, don't envy the flight but I wish you a wonderful holiday.
