Now this is what I do.

#1 Google image you would like
#2 Left click on Image
#3 Menu will come up...scroll down to save image as
Mine comes up in downloads at this bit.

#4 Got to User CP
#5 Edit avatar
#6 Go to option 2, then browse.
#7 Save changes.
