Fen, wouldn't that be a delightful episode for one of those cheeky 'fix this house' episodes?? I dreamed last night about going to an old homesite I remember from childhood, and 'picking up' the old house that was there, taking it and everything around it but the porch. Then, the owners came by, and I talked to them. She was oriental. WTF does this stuff come from when I just want to be unconcious??

Hey, sweet family! I have been canning tomatoes ALL DAY LONG and next, I have 5 gallons of squash to put up, then pickles to make. Sunday, I am planning to go to church and take a big bucket of produce to my sunday school class and find out if anyone knows of a ministry I can help feed the hungry with my garden. Ruby, did your AC go out in your house? NEVER say you don't have much to contribute. You are such a beautiful person and I'm sure your hubs knows that. Good luck with "the talk". I wish mine would talk. Yes, Paul knows alcohol causes gout outbreaks, but so far, he has not been able to quit. I am leaving him alone, like Ruby suggested. God knows I've preached enough about him quitting and that hasn't worked. Fen, your artistic ability sounds awesome! I think a wall mural would be beautiful! Sunni, thank you for your kind words. You are doing so good and I am praying that you feel better, peaceful and happy. I am getting concerned about Grateful. Have you talked to her? MB, I am so excited that you are enjoying Joyce's cds! I've wondered if anyone listened to and liked her. Grateful listens to them going to and from work, too. I am so glad they are helping you and I can hear how much you've grown spiritually. God is our refuge and our strength to endure this life and the tribulations we each have. Biz, I am so sorry your dog bit you! I hope you are feeling better. Roger, I'm praying for you and Sue. Swannie..what do you mean "caved"? We are all here for you and worry about you so much.
TODAY IS MY 20TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE IN EUROPE.....but alas.
I sneaked home and put signs in the yard that say I love you and put balloons all over the place..that is all I can afford and I am waiting for Bret to get home. I know there will be no gift exchange and that is ok
We MIGHT be getting our money back from the IRS..Bret has worked so hard on this and I am proud of him...he feels guilty.....
Rubes...one day I adore the man and the next I could kill him, so I know how hard marriage can be

Interesting dream, Rubes. I have some weird ones, too.

I really can't wait to get going on improving the house, but I don't want to go if it's raining. Paint doesn't dry well when it's that humid and unless the grass we planted is making some progress, it's like mud-wrestling to get up to the house in the rain!

I LOVE murals! Did my first for Tay; a rainforest scene with a huge palm, monkey in the top holding a coconut. Frogs, lizards, a toucan on the the window ledge, and a pink and green boa sliding through it all. OH! And a little vision of the ocean, with a glittering dolphin jumping. (Her mother had another of her decorating brain seizures, started painting over it all, and Tay called me in a panic. I couldn't do anything.)
Vick, just keep on overdoing it. You WILL pay for it. I'm not sugar-coating it for you and P anymore. You can return the critique ANYTIME, but I so know what you're doingl Plowing and planting that garden is a snap. It's the harvesting and putting by thats a B (booger!). You tell P to get his ass out of that recliner and work side-by-side with you when you're processing. Fair is fair! And if his (alcohol induced) gout he complains about, why pamper him? Tell him your medical condition prohibits you from taking on such a big job alone. The shock alone of you standing up for yourself may do the job!
Fen, when do we get pics of Foeniculum!? We need to work out a seasonal swap; come here in the winter, I'll bring all the tick magnets there in the summer. 'Long as you have a potty!!
T, things have to get better for you. Remember, I told you you may have to adjust your expectation ethic to suit both the times, the market, and the government where you live. The only time we can afford to write our own rules is when we're under 20, filthy rich (read yacht), or have a steady income elseware. I know what great work you do, and am so sorry the timing, money wasn't right when you were here. I have more irons in the fire now than I can remember. Moving tenants, evicting tenants, buying a property, keeping this house somewhat passable, dealing with my grands need, an not to mention a a sulking other half, keeps me up at night. I DID eat tonight. (forgot to the last 2 days!).

well no worries ruby like in life there are ways .. that work and there are ways to get by and thats one thing im very good at .. is getting by on my own ..work for what i need and want and right now things yes are down .. but i could be worst .. drinking or dead and im not going down without a fight .. so right now im doing what i can ..to find work applying for jobs on line and always looking .. so ruby take care of your own .. you have a good man there so take the time and work it out life is short so use every minute and make the best of it ...

swanny i cant make you do anything you dont want to do and well i dont always step in or dont always know what to say .. but one thing comes to mind ... you know the fact we dont judge here and well as the saying goes shit happens and sometime we go for the nearess thing to seek confor and sometimes thats all and somethings take longer to learn ... and well by you posting what you did in alot of ways you are seeking help .. so stop hiding come out and play .. i dont bite ..well too hrad anyway .. always with love my dear friend
