Ringing, this place to share is and feels safe because of you guys!. Little baby steps..., you're so right! I do repeat, but, you know what, my dear friend? I have gotten knocked out and got up again so many times, that sometimes it feels like this will never end....! When will those baby steps become adult steps? I'm disappointed in me! Mama Jen, yes. I do have a 14 year old girl. Her name is Minna and her coming into this world saved my life! She's the only good thing that happened to me and the one and only reason why I'm still fighting, cause, like you say, I love my family more than alcohol. I will tell you all about it in my Chapter 2. Hang in there sweet lady. You deserve the best and good things come to those who know how to fight. You're one of them. Lots of love and hugs to you.

Good Morning Everyone!

Welcome Melissa, your story is heartbreaking. I have found it to day 35 AF only because of the people here at MWO. So many stories are so sad, but there is strength in numbers and there is so much wisdom to be found here.
I am in the middle of moving :yuk: so don't have much time to post. The stress is killing me, but I have found that no matter how stressful things get, AL only makes it worse.

Crazy morning with my crazy man. To the Habit For Humanity Rehome store, (fun!), Lowes (got some Basil, Dill, and Pineapple Sage). Hubs told me 15 X before we went in NO PLANTS! He thinks I listen!!:H On to a fruit stand, a rental house, a hardware store (he forgot something!) and we unload at home, get inside and he says 'what's for lunch'! Am I his MOTHER??
So good to hear from yous guys. Only time to tell Bird, stop and load up on all the watermelons and cantaloupe you can afford and have room for, and I'll pay you back, SERIOUSLY! I haven't seen a watermelon for less than $6, and one I was looking at today was $8. I could live on melons and cottage cheese, blueberries. Time to finish up my cleaning, prep, so I'll check back later. Keep on trucking, friends.

Mallsia good posting I would like the know the 5 things you can't recover from???? Well crazy day for me. My son is in a LAX tornamint of course one must pay lots of money for this!!!! so I forgot to bring and unbrulla so I cooked for 5 hours in the son now I am home in the ac and will take a nap. My daughter got home safly from Ocean City Maryland so that is good Nap now church then dinner hope the whole family comes. TTFN

Hello everyone. I've had a busy, busy day. The kiddos have arrived. So, we will be busy from morning till night now. That's a good thing. We have our swimming pool to put, parks to go to, walks to go on. Fun times to be had.
My neighbors son has been over playing. So, my neighbor came over to get him and brought me two ice cold beers for hubby & me. I just thanked her very much and gave the beers to Scott. I told him to go ahead that I didn't mind. Luckily I am on antabuse again. I am having a really hard time this time getting my head around the fact that I WANT to stop drinking. I know that I do......I just don't know what is going on in my brain. Like I'm thinking I can be a normal drinker. I did really well before and just need to get back to that. And stay with it this time. Oh well......sorry to go on like this.
Anyway - having a very happy day filled with lots of love.

Melissa - what a lovely post! please know that you need never be embarrassed at anything that you post here, never be scared to post anything either - none of us judge - we have either been there, done that or we totally understand. we are here to support and help you - not for any other reason. No need for shame - if it helps you to talk about it, then that is fine. trust me - most of us have stuff in our past that isn't good - have you read Roger's story in the My story section? he has come through so much and is such a fine wonderful young man - he is an amazing example of what one can overcome - I admire and respect him like you wouldn't believe. SO many in this forum have overcome such adversity, it quite makes me feel humbled. I had a rotten childhood = no sexual abuse, but much emotional, and to read what others have gone through and come out the way they do, really gives me pause for thought. I am full of admiration for the way that folk like you have handled your lives. I stand in awe of you and people like Roger and many others like him. So - no worries about anything you post - okay? :l

Tony - good words for Melissa! you are a crazy guy but can come out quite sane at times LOL

ruby - those dogs are SO sad!!! Dogs only a mother can love!! hopefully?
