Army Thread Tuesday 14th June
Just caught me there, EW,
I found taking a 10mg dose every 4-5 hours wore off too quickly so split the dosage into 5mg every 2- 3 hours better.
And remember there's alway the good old NHS direct to ring if you get stuck. It could be worse, I could be filing.

Yoooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooo Mollers,
Think librium's much the same as valium or should we use it's posh name diazapam.
Yo EW.
Yep tonight's gonna be a doozer. Try and stagger your dosage over the next few hours don't let yourself get too antsy.
Keep plenty of water by your bedside.
A big wet flannel, for mopping that sweaty brow.
Install Java so if you're still thrashing about you can give a shout out and get into chat here.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Army Thread Tuesday 14th June
Evening all. G'd afternoon to Zenners if she's still around.
EW, sorry to hear you're having a struggle. Can't help much since I never had strong withdrawals whenever I quit AL and never needed anything more that something to help me sleep. Nothing that couldn't be managed anyway.
Logic says that the girls are giving you good advice - especially about drinking lots of water. Might try squeezing a bit of fresh lemon juice if you've got some. I find that helps getting lots of water down, and it's good for your liver. You CAN do this, you know that. And you know why it's even more important that you do your best this time - for the sake of your job. As Jackie said, hang around here if you start to get antsy. The UK members will be here for a good number of hours yet and then the US folk will be around. The Panda is here most of the night from what I see, so he'll be here. If you can't get into chat, just keep posting here on the Army thread and on whatever threads you feel comfortable with. There's help and support everywhere. Wishing you strength. Every hour, even half hour, you get through is an accomplishment. You can do this, you've done it before so you know you can.
Oh, and I just thought - a nice warm bath would be really soothing. For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Thanks all!
I get the panics worst of all - the sweating and shakes I can cope with. I evaluate every stupid thing I ever did and the mess I've made for myself at work now and then just want to bang my head through a wall!If you can't have one drink, don't have any - My Nan

That's the second time today my name's been mentioned on this thread. The first time was by Mr. Panda-Man and had to do with unpleasant bodily emissions.mollyka;1130764 wrote: I feel a bit of a clown bout this cos I know Stirly and prob half a dozen others have tried to talk me through this - but can someone Pleeez babystep me how to put in a link e.g. to the toolbox - have never grasped it! I luuuuurve you all soooo much:help!
At least this time it's due to a better subject.
Molly, go to the thread you want to post the link to and copy the http thing - url or whatever they call it and then paste it in your post. The Tool Box is in the Abstinence forum. Click on the Tool Box thread and then, as I said copy the http thingey at the top of the page and then paste it to your post. If you can't manage it, here it is. But give it a try - you can do that with any thread...

Or with a funny one. This gave me a good chuckle BTW...

EW - don't do that. Think about something else - something positive. Seriously, the worst thing you could do right now is start to look back over the wrong choices you've made (haven't we all made a zillion) and start to beat yourself up. Instead, concentrate on getting through the next fifteen minutes, half hour, whatever time span you feel comfortable with. Talk yourself through the panic, take deep breaths, talk to Monkey. Take him for a walk if you can, if not, hold him close, pet him, tell him how much you need him, whatever it takes to get through this. But try to keep the negative thoughts at bay. It's hard, but it can be done. Picture yourself on a tropical island - better still, go visit some places you've always wanted to using Google Street view. I was standing outside Jackie's house a while back to see what her neighbourhood looks like. And I visited Dublin last weekend and Hawaii a couple of days ago. Today I was on the island of Mustique. Just saying - there are so many things you can do and the internet has a zillion things to keep you occupied and your mind off of negative thinking, regrets and most of all, AL.JackieClaire;1130772 wrote: Yoooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooo Stirls,Yoooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooo, right back at you JackieClaire....
:H:H You lie. You're as smart as a whip about this stuff. I've seen you in action. I've sent you a PM and got a reply complete with a piccie from PB within 1.8 seconds. Faster than the speed of light or sound or whichever is faster....JackieClaire;1130769 wrote: Mollers,
I'd rather talk you through a de-tox.
It took Mr JC and the son and heir 3 years to teach me.
Hang on a minute.
