              Seems like I'm trying to put a square peg in a round hole........A few of you have asked about my job hunting. I'm still with VA and their suppose to assist me in finding employment. ( Under the Rehabilitation act) I meet with my new councilor on the 25th of July....let's see what that yields. I am also putting in for more Disability from the VA. I currently get 20%...but over the years my health has deteriorated....more care is in order. ( More money too. Ha!) Oh well I continue to fight.....Have all my medical records together, ready to send to the VA. They have made 2 more appointments for me at the VA Hospital to check me out. I keep jamin though ! Ha! Eventually I'll get my answer. Tony

                Hi everybuddy. I was up and out by 8 AM, and it HURT!
                Tony, don't worry, getting old isn't SO bad :H It's SO great though that you qualify for all the things you do. Take advantage of them all, please. Our gov is throwing money at ridiculous things, and seeing someone like you able to benefit from some programs is wonderful. You keep at it buddy. It keeps you from selling your body on the streets, doesn't it!?

                      Looks like everybody feels like me today ..... blah. No one has wrote much today, so I really don't have much to say. Tony, I am praying that you get offered a good job and get all the benefits entitled to you! What cute doggies you have! Ruby, what have you done to hurt yourself so early this morning? RC, loved your bunny rabbit! Roger, I'm praying that God would pour out His financial blessings on you and you get some work! I did talk to Effie and she had no time to post today as it is night for her and she must pack and get to bed early because she has a business trip in the morning, hopefully not on those little planes again. She didn't say, but I'll pray for her anyway. I love you all so very much! Love, Vicki

                          Vick, that's a great way to put it. We know and love Rog, and we have beliefs about what can and can't be done with AL. Sometimes, though, it takes trying it out and seeing what happens to find out for sure.
                          I know you, I, and everyone here, are just worried about our Rog, but he has to decide. T, you know where we are, and if your experiment works, GREAT! If not, just come on back and we'll find what does, OK? You do NOT have to be the strong, silent leader, just part of the group who've come to care about you so much. We're humans, who have gone through a lot in our lives, and though we're strong it's leaves marks we have to deal with. But there are people here who have shared their scars, as you have. You don't have to be any more than you are, when you're trying to be the best person you are, through all the times. And you ARE a great person.

                              Hallo everyone - home from work and it is SO hot out. i watered and was so soaked by the time I came in. it is miserable. Tony - your dogs are so sweet - I hope that you get your health sorted out - hopefully the VA is paying for it? And I also hope that a job is in the near future for you too. It is so hard for people today. I just hurt for those without jobs - Rog, I do hope something comes from what you are putting together now - I think what RC has put together from what you had looks awesome and very professional. You deserve to find something. unlike Vicki, I don't think you should count AF days, but that is just my personal opinion. I feel it puts too much emphasis on AL - but we are all different and handle it in different ways. when I was AF, counting the days made me think about it too much.

                              Vicki - I hope that your hands are feeling better today?? Are they? Have you checked out the surgery at all? there is lots of conflicting advice for you I know, and after your experience with anesthetic I don't blame you for saying never again, but the longer you leave carpal tunnel, the worse it gets. Please, dear friend - get some advice from docs, and at least think about it - it is so painful from what I hear and you just cannot be without your hands - you do SO much - you would be miserable.

                              Ruby - how are you doing now? are you EVER going to tell me where the goat came from? I have asked at least THREE times now........... so I hope that things are going better for you - you know where I am if you need to chat.....

                              Effie - sorry we keep missing each other on skype - with my shifts, hubs's shifts and the time difference it is really hard to catch each other. we will one day - honest! in the meantime, hang in there and stay with us. love you !!

                              Jan - how are you doing today? things just seem to be so hectic at the moment for everyone - or that is the way it seems for me anyway.... the days are just flying by and I never seem to stop.

                              Grateful - how are you doing too? hopefully you are feeling a bit better? I know you are having this dreadful heat as well as us. It is stifling and just drains you. Keep in touch won't you?

                              Fen - are you feeling any better? I will let you in on a secret - I went to the bird food store on my way home and got extra sunflower seeds!!!! just for you and your friends!! but next week I am buying a new birdfeeder that the squirrels won't be able to feed from. I feel mean but they are costing me a fortune in bird food and it really is time they started to learn to feed themselves before winter!! So please please put the word out!!

                              Oh gosh - who else? Nora!!! How are you my friend? doing well? How long do you have the grands for?? It seems to me that you have had them for a l-o-n-g time. It would have been a very long time for me anyway!!! LOL

                              RC - You did do such a wonderful job on Rog's stuff - you really did. How are things going with the AF? I will try and give you a call this weekend but I close Saturday. looks like Sunday is going to be a Very Busy Day for me LOL Love Ya!

                                I'm so sorry, MB. My days are a whirlwind, today's was a tornado! She was bought by ex-DIL for Grace, and since they couldn't have her, she was confined to a small area by necessity and to keep her safe. She has a new play set (thank you Grate!) and she and Sadie play with each other daily!
