Late fly by fruiting!

RC, I must have missed it.. is your Magda of the feline or canine kind? I do hope she'll come around :l There have been poisonings here as well this summer. Very sick.

I got a close up shot of Boris today... as he was standing up on my knee:



He's too funny... he swats you like a dog when he wants to be pet :H I forgot that he did that. He even uses a claw or two to pull your hand towards him. Luvable lil bugger.

So.. in other news (RC, you already know this) ...
My daughter miscarried last night. I was on the phone with her before she got to the hospital (telling her to get her butt over to Emerg) and after. I wish I could have been there to hold her hand through this I talked to her this morning and again tonight... she's a bit down but all in all seems to be doing ok.

I'm gonna crawl into bed here shortly, I did turn on the jets in the tub for a bit tonight and I feel a little bit more limber than earlier. But honestly, I'm not particularly looking forward to climbing up the scaffolding again tomorrow. Wish me luck!

I'm pooped (like that's news)... but we got the big hole (front entrance) in the barn closed up with a very heavy tarp and some reinforcements. Another big item off the list!

Thanks Gina. I've nursed her through some serious health issues(severe mange, passing stones). It's amazing she lived 9 years. This one was just too much to heal. If I'd realized it was more than just getting into some garbage, I might have been able to cleanse her. She had so much moxy for a little dog and the best traveling companion.

My post may have sounded like I was drinking, but no.

Thanks Stirly. I was reminded that she did have a great life with me as she probably wouldn't have been taken so well care of with her other health issues by someone else.

So, this FB lark is turning out to be a better social network than I imagined. Due to "friending" MANY acquaintenances (now what's wrong with that spelling??), I was invited to a little jazz event this afternoon. The venue was a cyber cafe and they got around "special events" licensing by having it by invitation which they facilitated with FB invites. Brilliant!! A local caterer offered a small but tasty menu and they served beer and wine(I passed on that ). I would never have known otherwise and it was great to get out of the house for awhile!

Good morning Canucks and Canuckettes!

Monologue as requested:

First off, RC, I think Zennie was referring to your seminar in Parliament Hill Town
Secondly, Arrrrrrrrghhhh! There, that feels better. I was mighty busy yesterday with a client whom I'm about to lose. Nothing to do with me or my services; they're merging with a large national firm. Good news for them - not so much for me. The large firm has their own in house nerds and doesn't need me. This is the 6th client this year leaving under similar circumstances. Up until this year, I had hardly lost any clients and I still have a sizable gang from the very beginning. This particular client has been with me for over 7 years.

In other news... how DO you teach a barn cat to use the litter box? While it is nice that the barn is all closed up and such... Boris can't get out/in unless one of us is there. Not liking poop on my hay!

Ok, awaiting phone call now, must dash! Have a happy Tuesday, everyone!!!!

Zennie, it was very helpful. Lot's of suggestions and stats. Food was pretty tasty too. I did have one glass of wine. LOong drive though, did not get home til after 1am.
